If we fail to attract the services of Steve Walsh when we get round to potting Phil Brown, then Garry Flitcroft must be looked at. Most (if not all) of you have overlooked this man when choosing your replacements for Brown. Maybe it's because you're not paying attention to the amazing things he is doing at Chorley.

He did well at Leigh Genesis, when he quit them he went to Chorley and look at the success they've had with him! A promotion and currently in the play off places in the Evo Stik Premier Division. The Conference North beckons for Chorley, we need to snap him up before other Football League clubs come sniffing.

He WILL manage in the Premier League within 10 years, so lets act now and get this great young manager on board!

Flitcroft would be a fantastic choice, he has loads of premiership expirience and has played under top managers in the game. The word coming out of Chorley is that he could be top notch !

Yeh and he may bring Simon Whalley back, or Matt Jansen.

Do you realize what a condescending prick that makes you sound?

PB is in the position but do you think he would be able to handle such a massive change from the non league

Flitcroft has played at the top level nearly all his career under some top managers. He is now being very successful with Chorley in non league and the average crowd at Victory Park is over 750 this season, which is treble the average from 2-3 seasons ago. A lot of Rovers fans go on with the connection (Flitcroft and jansen) and chorley has a large Blackburn fan base anyway.

I went to the fans forum at chorley with brown, Jansen and Flitcroft and people should not forget that Trevor Hemmings effectively runs Chorley football club with Flitcroft and Jansen meeting him here and there. I wouldn't at all be shocked to see Hemmings put Flitcroft in the frame, especially as he will know what he is capable of first hand and how he operates. He hasn't exactly done well guessing when appointing ferguson and brown.

"PB is in the position but do you think he would be able to handle such a massive change from the non league" - lee clark has done it at huddersfield, portsmouth just took appleton with no expirience, and nigel clough to derby from burton albion, and flitcroft has captained premiership sides in the past.

Alan Irvine had no experience.

Would prefer Micky Mellon

Gary Flitcroft now 5/1 (sky bet) on to become next PNE boss 🙂, looking good and with Garys motivation and promising future, this might help the club to gain promotion back to the champo. And after watching most of the home games this season, this is what the lads need to succeed !
