Standing on the shoulders of giants.
Neil Danns is in talks with us with a view to signing a two and a half year deal before tomorrows deadline. Apparently Brown thinks his battling and creative qualities will give us another dimension in midfield. Source is a member of his family who I was talking to in Liverpool last night. Danns is keen for it to happen as he wants a move back up North.

Hope this comes off, I reckon he would be an excellent signing.

weren't Danns and Iwelumo at Colchester together? If both arrive then they may be able to hit off a good understanding straight away.

I have always thought he is an excellent player. Far too good for League 1 if we go down but, what am I saying, that won't happen.

I wouldn't rule this one out particularly as Palace look like they are going to sign Michael Brown from Pompey, could they be signing him as Danns replacement rather than partner - I don't know ?

Hope it's true but if it is then we have nicholson russel Barton coutts carter for cm and maybe ashbee.

But in the 3-5-2, they'd be fighting for three places, not two. Danns, Ashbee and Coutts looks like a good Championship midfield to me. Don't think it will happen though.

Irvine did his best to get him in a few years back and failed. I would be very surprised and very pleased if this came off. Unlikely

Why would Crystal Palace sell a first teamer to a relegation rival?

You should know Danny that the clubs sometimes are powerless from stopping their players going where they want to. Not that Im suggesting this will happen but take the Torres scenario for example, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that with Torres Liverpool could catch Chelsea in the league (again highly unlikely).

He is too good a player to come here, even if he is only at Palace at the minute!

Could I point out the original poster has no previous of giving out specious info.

Where were the funds coming from for Iwelumo? We've got as much money as Hemmings decides to put in. Ultimately its down to him to back the manager. Brown wouldnt be here if he hadn't been promised some financial backing.

Alright, calm down cha. Let's wait and see whether you lose all credibility before you have even made 10 posts. Are you aiming for a post per year btw ? Excellent contributions you make to the forum.
