I had that sinking feeling as soon as the first goal went in despite the good first half performance. i was there when we were relegated under Beck at Bolton and have not felt so pissed off since that day as i did today. Before the game i thought we might get out of it, now i am resigned to league 1 and i feel sick at the thought. I thought those days had gone. This season has been nothing short of a fuckin disaster. The blame has to be laid at Hemmings door for stripping the squad and appointing Ferguson.
Never felt so negative before
I still think we'll reach the play off.

Well i felt pretty bummed out when we got tw*tted at Wembley V Wycome Wanderers in 1994.
The pain will ease with time.
Well that's the only time I've seen PNE at Wembley - one upside was the late pub opening on return (back in the day).

😉 Proper day out that was!!!
Eventually you all come round to my way of thinking. The problem is it takes you far too long to do so. It's now too late.
You really are a prick, at least BSKforever had the decency to dissapear, why dont you do the same

I think I'm always right, I think my opinion as an unqualified spectator is more valid than that of a manager with history of Championship promotion and survival in the Premier League, I think everybody bar me on PNE online is a worthless peon.
Nah, I don't think anyone will be coming round to your way of thinking squire.
I must be tapped, I stopped till the final whistle.

Not me.How many stayed til the bitter end?
How many stayed til the bitter end?
I did. I coughed and sneezed and spluttered to the bitter end the same as the team did really. I could not believe a game could be that painful, we were awful the 2nd half. I stayed on the off chance of seeing a goal in open play in the town end, what a silly sod I am.
Shabbagaz, I know exactly how you feel.
what a silly sod I am.
+1
thank you:youl:

I think all fans feel crap when they go home after being beaten 4-0 at home.
However if you resign yourself to going down then anything better than that is a bonus.
We have to move on from this and take each game as it comes. Every game should be a cup final. Forget the other games, we have to get everything we can from each game. There were some positive signs today but when you're down there's always someone to piss on your chips.
Maybe we have to go down to come back stronger. The truth is the table doesn't lie.
I don't blame Hemmings. I don't even blame Ferguson. I think it goes back beyond that.
I remember thinking that no matter how good our Play Off sides were, the key was Moyes and if he went then we had to make good appointments. Davies, for all we think about him and his arrogance, was a good manager, but we didn't have the money to back him. Since then it has been a series of poor managerial appointments. We should have gone down under Irvine so the slide has been on for some time.
The fact is that you need all your ducks in line to go up and make the most of a stay in the PL.
You need a good manager, the funds to back him and a bit of luck. We've never had this together and have always fallen short.
Maybe the good time charlies who turned up for the good times will go back under their rocks and we can get behind our team once more. Maybe the team will gel between now and promotion from league 1 next year.
....and that's what keeps us watching our team.
UTW. Always!

Magic Music!!!
It's only now that I am beginning to realise quite how much Ferguson has fucked us up. I was sucked in by his rhetoric and believed he could take us forward. Disgusted at myself for believing in the useless sack of shit.
Great post, if Ferguson had gone in November after the Hull game, we may have been able to save our season. If we'd sacked him after the Norwich game in September then we definitely could. Sadly, at that time there were still too many fans deluding themselves the useless pillock would come good. Now it's too late and he's succeeded in taking us back 15 years in just 12 months. To think Danny thought it appropriate to say a sickening thank you for that 😡

I cant remember who the poster was but a few months back he/she wanted to organise a demonstration to get Ferguson removed from the club ,But he/she was shot down in no uncertain terms.
Maybe the poster was correct and more should have been done by us fans to have Ferguson removed.

It has been worse. Remember this :http://www.statto.com/football/teams/preston-north-end/1985-1986.
One the other hand I agree with SK1PNE that the fat lady is singing. If safety is 50 points we now need 29 points from our last 18 games, 8 at home and 10 away. That is the kind of form we have shown in out play-off seasons, not impossible of course, but a massive turn around. if we get 10 points away from home, that leaves us needing at nearly impossible 19 / 24 at home. So we would need to start winning home and away.

A friend of mine said it was the long shaft of the arrow that stood out? What's the result of the test for him?
