Confirmed New sponsorship & Home kit Launch (Spud Bros)

havent all the stands already been sponsored by companies? so nothing has really changed here, and unless im mistaken, the sleeve sponsorship thing is only a recent introduction, all clubs used ot have the EFL badge on both arms but they changed it to only be on 1 arm to allow for sleeve sponsorship
The Town End and the Bill Shankly Kop have had stand alone sponsors for a number of years and those deals have been renewed for a long time.

The Sir Tom Finney stand sponsorship deal was part of the "Principle Partners/Shirt Sponsorship Deal.

PAR also received advertising on the screens and across the middle of the IPS.

The IPS was sponsored by Football Pools which I believe was linked to some of Trevor's Business interests.

That was taken over by Sapphire last year who have their branding across the top of the stand.

However, the full length middle section was still PAR.

We've never had a permanent sleeve sponsor or back of shirt sponsor.

The back of shirt was part of the deal with PAR and Sleeves we have only ever done in cup games.

The training kits did have a betting company on but they where part of the betting company sponsoring the first team.

So in short, the main sponsor basically got everything as part of the deal.

This season has seen a significant change away from that, with Spud Brothers sponsoring the kits alone and are running the half time game. They have zero advertising currently aside from that, there is not one board or second shown on the led boards (unless that changes).

With all the other deals being sold separately, rather than being all part of "principal partner."

It is definitely a change in approach and I am confident we will see a marked improvement in the commercial figures.

Previously the attitude had been "it makes such little difference to what the owners have to put it in, it's not worth the hassle."

This new approach, I suspect this once again is helpful in selling the club.

Just noticed on the advertising board, it mentions solar, wasnt there an applicaiton recently to install solar panels on the roof of the town end? i wonder if Gos might be doing that and the sponsorship package is part of the contract? or am i thinking too much into it?

Was for the roof of the IPS.

Any one know what the one negative comment was that hurt so much?
Most negative reviews I see on Facebook are around the costs. Normally you would say not to take most comments seriously or to heart but as there business is all about social media and interactions I guess bad reviews they may think can the have a negative impact on them

I wouldn't even say their prices are that bad... Well not at the tram in Preston anyway! The prices in London may be too much, but that's the London tax you pay. You get massive portions for the price you pay.

Also had @Muzza post confirmed about the new training and Shirt Sleeve sponsor.

Ha, never knew the Finney had Sponsor Logos and advert above it, but then when your sat in it semi snoozing i guess your only looking outward.
On reflection it seems quite a while now since i/we went into/onto any other part of the ground (although we did do a swap to the Shankly kop when they tried the split for an odd game - thinking about it)

On Saturday it looked like the exit signs had been replaced, at least on the Finney and Shankley stands.
