Fair enough, hakuna matata.
I referred to us as a basket case, but wasn't me calling for protests.
I genuinely think we are a basket case of a club. We've got a 72 year old director who controls all the footballing aspects of the club. He remains stuck in the early 1990s with his transfer policy, we've lost around £20m worth of assets on free transfers (and will increase this time next year). We've got an ownership model that allows all the owners to hide behind one name, and have zero communication with the fanbase. Seemingly, only one of them communicates with the manager. We can't pay the going rate for Championship players because our owners don't want to increase the money they put in (fair enough) and Ridsdale seemingly can't generate funds using the transfer market. In my opinion (and I've stated this continuously rather than some who have flip flopped between agreeing and disagreeing) our squad strength has decreased year on year since Grayson left.
Then, in recent weeks, our manager walked out after one game of the new season when around 80% of fans had realised he should have been potted at the end of last season. Then we have a caretaker manager who wants to put his name forward for the job who walks out after 2 games.
Something is seriously wrong with this football club. You may call it a lack of ambition, but I call it as people out of touch with the modern game who are too set in their ways. When that point gets mentioned, backs go up, and blame starts coming the fans way.
If you think that Lowe and Marsh blamed the fans off their own back, that's fair enough. But I think that the owners and Ridsdale feel exactly the same way too.
