Would of been a player for us.

I can only presume West Ham are skint and that MK Dons have a very promising young player that is going Boyln for a strange price.

I could never see what ability he had and how he rose to the highs he did. Over hyped and has actually achieved little apart from obviously lining his pockets.

Yes but if we had got in their 4 weeks before they signed him, matched his wages from Watford he would have signed the dotted line. A mate of mine spoke to him at the marriott hotel n he seemed really keen to join permanently. I understand we cant compete with Sheff Utd when it comes down to wages but theirs ways round it so you do it fast before the big guns come in, not wait till theyve done the business.

We even said, at the time, that watford knew we were interested, so we were waiting for them to contact us.

It'd have been nice to have been seen to be going for him early doors but we all know his agent would have used that to get him a better deal elsewhere.

Lee Croft was another one, but when you get offered late teens of thousands a week from Derby we're always gonna be the losers!
