We were 4-1 down at Leeds at half time once. Can’t recall how it finished.

Me neither. I can remember us winning 6-4 when we were 4-2 down at half time there though 😉 Parkin got a second just before half time. Best game I’ve ever been to

FA Cup November 1985…

Willie Naughton was playing for Walsall.

Whilst we had Mick Martin at the twighlight of his career an Terry Gray turning out for us.
Naughton never got a bloody hatrick for us did he?!!

I remember that too, stood on the Kop, and the Gas's keeper was called Phil Kite.

Saw us lose 7-3 at Walsall once, Willie Naughton hat trick for them...no idea what the score was at half time but I doubt it was close!

Got absolutely soaked on the open away end chucked it down from start to finish, the 700 or so North Enx fans never stopped singing.
There was even a piece in the Daily Telegraph(I think) covering North End and how far we had fallen along with a photograph of the soaking wet supporters.👍

Everton are not a club with which we have ever had significant transfer dealings with two exceptions - firstly Howard Kendall to them and secondly Derek Temple to us.

I'll add Aiden Mc Greedy to that Ernest, albeit for one season only, but what a season!

IMO Martin Hodge was the best keeper we’ve had in my time. That’s based on how good they were when playing for us.
