Emotions are raw, but a telling obersation is the fan base is 100% focused on the mess; not yet focusing on how we get a result on Saturday.

Luke or lump it, the focus needs to switch to 100% unconditional support for the lads this week and hopefully at 2:30pm Saturday can breathe a sigh of relief.

Then we can stuck into the real issues at the club!

Are we a fan base who will rise to this challenge?

Ive given unconditional support to this club for over 60 years, there are those whove done a lot more.

We can sing, shout as much as we like but our group of players will probably respond the way they did to the large crowd yesterday.

Edit:

As an aside the fans whove travelled away, this season, need to be given medals. The support theyve given the team has been outstanding. Theyve been given nothing in return.

Those that are at Bristol will be noisy and supportive I am sure but once those players cross the white line it’s down to them to respond.
The crowd on Saturday was supportive at the outset but unfortunately didn’t get the desired result.
Over to the players now!

What shall we do to "rise to this challenge", given it's Sunday night?

Wave a flag while we type our posts about what a shitshow this fucking club has become?

Or post while wearing a retro shirt perhaps?

What people say on here isn’t going to impact next weekend. In any case, any professional footballer should step onto that pitch determined to prove any doubters wrong.
Absolutely - and they should be staying well away from SM to focus totally on the game.
Any Preston Player, stupid enough to read SM at the moment isn't going to be doing themselves any favours in the mental strength department.

Therefore what the fans are saying at the moment should be of no consequence to the Players.

I am sure that the travelling fans will initially set off full of hope, if not expectation, and will certainly be behind them initially.
Its up to the Players to respond to that from the off, even chasing lost causes to show commitment and desire!!
If the fans do turn at BC it will only be because they haven't done or shown, any heart, passion or desire.

Its been said before but this Team is made up of a lot of senior Pro's, so its past time for them to step up really.
Hopefully they at least go there and show some of those sadly lacking qualities, for once, in quite some while.

I wouldn't mind a season in league one but there is no guarantee we would come back upto the championship for a very long time so I will be shitting it on Saturday. We have to get behind the boys, I would hate to stay up by relying on others, a win is needed! It's unlikely but not exactly impossible if we turn up.

We had a thread similar to this last week and look how that turned out yesterday.

These players don’t give a shit. Stop with these war cries.

Embarrassing. Fuck them
Bottom line the supporters have more than done their bit, this season, it really pisses me off when the "Im a better fan," crowd come on basically doing nothing more than blaming the support for the predicament the club is in.

None of this, in any way, is the fault of our fanbase.

Ah the retro shirt, the club hasn’t learnt since the days of BAXI.

I cannot get how any fan can give so much of their time knowing so little will occur. Fair play to them.

Agreed. Deepdale can be a fickle place at times but we backed them yesterday and still crumbled.

I think the reality is that we’ll be relying on other results going our way given Brizzle are fighting for a playoff position.

I'm certain that those PNE fans at Bristol will start the game giving the lads everything.

If we go a goal or two down then that might change to 'Ridsdale Out' chants or whatever - and who could blame anyone for that?

We might be in the nightmare position of having lads on the pitch who 'know' they have no future at the club and downed tools a while ago. That's where poor recruitment gets you.

Regardless of what happens in Bristol let's make sure going forward we have players who 'want it' and will put a shift in.

I understand that you can't always win but a bit of effort is a basic requirement.
