Sorry to drag this thread up again,,,, a technical question for those that understand the rules!

Is there any time limit for charges to be brought on a player from EFL side,,,, as in Hecky gets sent off and has 20 days to respond to charges. Surely there has to be a point where the EFL are told you have 20 days to apply charges or they are dropped completely.
Anyone able to ask anyone on the EFL board? Not that we have an inside operative or anything! 😂
This is worth a read.

This is worth a read.

Worth a read but disconcerting for how long this is taking.

I remember (I think !) my wife studying a module of law - and a phrase from some civil case law where it was deemed that “delay defeats equity”. In other words, if you have done your bit and the other side prevaricates beyond a reasonable time, then there comes a point where the law just draws a line… and even if you “should” have been found liable, it’s null.

Whether or not it’s permissible, I think we’re at the point where this ruling should come in. The case hanging over us could be affecting a very big bid coming in - and our whole squad reconstruction strategy may be up in the air, simply because the FA aren’t doing a simple job.

Any disciplinary proceedings shouldn't last more than what's needed. It's an incident involving 2 people. What more do they need to investigate with what we allegedly already know.

If you look enough for an issue you'll eventually find one but this needed to be concluded asap however it appears like you say to have no weight in the conviction of it now.

Osmajic was charged on 17 March with breaching FA Rule E 3 (sorry don't know what this relates to). Long enough for a verdict to have been reached and any punishment recommendation enforced
FA Rule E3 is a Football Association (FA) rule that deals with improper conduct, including threatening, abusive, indecent, or insulting behavior. It also covers conduct that brings the game into disrepute. A breach of this rule can result in various sanctions, including fines and suspensions.

Its beyond ridiculous now. Its pretty obvious he said something he shouldn't have, what exactly that was we'll probably never know, but the fact is he has denied it and there is no concrete evidence.

In a court of law he'd be found not guilty so why should this be any different?

The FA are being cowards, they know full well they can't find him guilty with no real evidence. So they've buried their heads in the sand.

Proof if it were needed that the FA disciplinary process is not fit for purpose.

The FA will announce their verdict on the last day of transfers being allowed and just 10 mins after approving Osmeiij going. Of course it will be too late to recruit a replacement.

I reckon we've told them he's leaving (abroad), so they can save face by giving him the maximum ban weeks before it's confirmed, and PNE won't bother kicking up a fuss and appealing.

At 26, with his reputation, I bet we don't even get £5m for him. Not with our negotiator.

Think that it would be a shame to lose Osmajic for next season, he has gotten used to the leagues standards, he is used to the club, if we could get a bit more quality in midfield that creates him the opportunities he could get the goals to at least keep us in the top half and if we could get someone to form a partnership with him who knows?

The FA (rightly) bang on about mental health when it suits them and then have this charge hanging over a player for months. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

More proof if it was needed that they don't give a shit about players welfare.
How on Earth do these things take this long??!

I'd love to be given projects which have no designated end dates. How do this lot get these jobs?

Erm......What's happened to the 115 charges against Citeh???....they said an announcement was due at the end of the season..... probably say it's now after the club world cup.....with their mega bucks Saudi lawyers i won't hold my breath!

If it's taking this long, the "evidence " against Osmajic must hardly be overwhelming.
Major High Court cases would be done and dusted by now.
Ridiculous!!

Isn’t it an independent panel who decide the punishment do if the FA want to find him guilty they will need to find proof and provide it to the panel along with the player and club so they can defend themselves,

One thing I have found odd with this case is that is that I haven’t seen kick it out mention it as they are normally all over these types of things and on every channel going putting there case forward a out racism
