Outside View

A recent rival from a team who by the way just beat us, pipes up and gives a slightly patronising but fairly educated view on our outlook. Congratulations on completely putting this interesting view to bed by disregarding everything he's said and pointing to a club ("the blades") that matter not to us or this post but seemingly matter to you. Surely none of our neighbours have ever achieved more than us...
Slightly patronising but fairly educated ? It was completely patronising and none educational as we have heard it all before many bloody times over many bloody years and decades. What was interesting about it? If the blades don’t matter to us why would we matter to a Wendy fan? Every one of our neighbours have been in the top flight far more recently than us.

You sound as patronising as the damned wendy fan btw.

I found his original.post slightly strange and think it is highly patronising, why would you a supporter of your team want to go to such great length tand detail to ram down the throat of not "a rival" but just another championship team that they should be happy with what is happening at there club and that they are in fact over achieving..🤔
You would think you would just want to celebrate what was only their second away win all season and fifth win of the season overall.🤔
I merely pointed out that in his shoes you would think he would be more concerned about how his club is going to attain enough points to avoid relegation and the embarrassment for them of still being in a division below their arch rivals "The Blades."next season 🤔
Let's hope we turn up today at Sunderland and put in a performance similar to the Leeds game and not the Sheffield Wednesday one and come away with three points👍
Happy New Year.😀👍

Fans don't count...

I get that you're trying to make a point

But if you think the 5k plus Wednesday fans didn't have an impact on that game you are sorely mistaken
Saddo that I am, here I amb on the forum on New Years Day (cos we have a match, of course😉).

Precisely what I meant; if you think that the income from 5000 fans will make any difference in this division....... Leeds Utd (who I doubt will finish in top two) have a squad worth over £200m - one forward who played against us cost over £30m (whether they are worth it, who knows) - considering we have have barely broken the £2m barrier in a season, that squad would take the best part of a century in our trading. So, the income from the 5000 Wendies will come in very handy......... to buy maybe the toe of a 'quality' Championship ready player?

Just to add, as I pressed 'send' early........ So, we can safely say that us, and the majority of other Championship clubs, can't com pete financially with the Sky Parachute Big Boys; whether little Preston or supposed Big Club SW - fans on seats means nothing to both of us; an extra £10m here and there just means that maybe they pay bang average players an extra £10 grand a week, whilst the clubs with the Sky m oney assemble the better squads. In the wings, the rest of us, all of us little, tiny, insignificant clubs, scratch around hoping we get the services of a manager who can make our squads play; make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, or unearth a real gem of a player.
