I wonder how many years it will be until the Founder Member Ambassadors won't receive priority

As it stands, legally they will always get priority.

It's harsh on new generations that join after a certain while. What bothers me is it's an arbitrary period of time to buy a season ticket that gives you an advantage rather than something you earn. We could still be doing this 20 years down the lineAs it stands, legally they will always get priority.
Quite possibly as there's the novelty of it being a new ground for practically everyone. Although there is the Lowe factor....Will we sell out? I'm thinking of going but as I attend about half a dozen games a season I don't have priority.

That's the problem with Ridsdale's schemes - always short-term, never thought-through.It's harsh on new generations that join after a certain while. I am a Founder member and benefit from this, although I would be high up the priority without being so.
Tickets always go way beyond Founder members as many don't do away games, just means we get ours a little eariler.
That said, I have never liked the Ambassador scheme, I think it penalised fans who have only missed one season in 40 odd.
Legally though the clubs hands are tied,
It’s a reward for being loyal throughout all years of medals and now badges. I have bought my season ticket every year for many years. If that doesn’t deserve some reward or recognition I don’t know what does.I wonder how many years it will be until the Founder Member Ambassadors won't receive priority

Although as with the Bauer extension clause, they knew exactly what they were doing when they tied their own hands... 🙃Legally though the clubs hands are tied,

But there's a bunch of reasons why a fan could've missed out on it. One bad year financially where you can't afford the season ticket and you're no longer a special fanIt’s a reward for being loyal throughout all years of medals and now badges. Aye this is why I'm not too bothered yet if it stays. I just think that the further away we get from the Founder member season, the more ridiculous it is that they still receive special treatment.I am a Founder member and benefit from this, although I would be high up the priority without being so.

Agreed. Plus I know a few Founder members who don't go to any away games but they still receive special treatment. It ends up encouraging ticket swapping because folks will want to guarantee a ticket even if they've got a season ticket of their own and have been to some away games. That said, I have never liked the Ambassador scheme, I think it penalised fans who have only missed one season in 40 odd.
It's daft that they've trapped themselves in like this.Legally though the clubs hands are tied,
I agree, there should be some sort of roll over for these situations. But there's a bunch of reasons why a fan could've missed out on it. One bad year financially where you can't afford the season ticket and you're no longer a special fan

It's that lack of meritocracy that's the issue really, I think we all agree loyal fans deserve rewarding in some capacity, it's the fact it's a closed system that's unfair really.I agree, there should be some sort of roll over for these situations.
Even having a scheme like giving people an opportunity to move into foundation ambassador bracket after ten consecutive years of renewing their season ticket would be fairer.
