Peterbrough chairmans midnight statement!

Peterbrough chairmans midnight statement!

What happened then?

He left by mutual consent hence the reason it took nearly 48 hours from when the rumours first broke to officially being announced , sorting out compensation etc.

There are also strong rumours doing the rounds this way about other reasons he left and lost respect of a majority of the squad . But as there is no concrete evidence about it i will not comment any further, although i am sure you have probably heard such rumours .

The mutal consent story looked like a cover to me. From the way DF was talking on interviews in the following weeks, it seemed very much like he was sacked.

I thought he had the respect of the players and until this morning, the fans.

Speaking of which, are the players at fault for your current predicament or are they either just not good enough for this league? Seems to me they try every match but now are being blamed for being lazy and hoofball football.

What's the point of your manager if he basically can't control the players?

Exactly. He's a puppet. He was brought in because he's weak and can be walked all over. Just the way Mr MacAnthony likes it. 🙄

It was quite obvious about 6 games before he left he had lost the respect of certain players in the team, there wasnt the team spirit or enthusiasm shown the way it had been in the previous 2 seasons put this together with dropping players and replacing them with others played out of position and even shipping some out on loan after being virtually ever presents in the side up until that point shows all was not rosy....

now get me outta here ..... 😀

Oh dear; looks like you've a manager who's morally bankrupt. Disgraceful behaviour.

Hmm...wasnt Lee Hughes on loan at your L-shape wreck of a ground? Think you'll find he did a bit more than bring his library books back late, so dont try and lecture us about morals sonny jim, especially with ol bag sower in tow.

Jeez no holding back with this guy eh??

"The Referees are rubbish
No argument from me on this, they are the worst standard of Refs I have ever seen in my life at this level and have given our club nothing for most of the season. Before they try and fine me for those comments, they should review the majority of our games by tape and ask themselves if I am actually right?"....

Hope we give 'em a good whooping tonight-gutted I can't be there...

Is there live commentary on the radio??

You may as well post away to your hearts content, because there's nothing concrete about anything else you have said either.
For example, do you have photographic evidence to prove that Ferguson was out drinking with Peterborough players? How do you know that other managers could and would of done the same job as Ferguson at Peterborough? How do you know he had 100% backing from your chairman?
And whether your chairman has proof to back up his allegations is also open to question.
As for Fatty Fry, well thats another thing.

Indeed.

I live in the town where Fergie invited some of the players out for a drink and they were seen to get along very well.

Posh found out about this at the time and were throrughly embarassed by it because it happened barely four days after they convinced Aaron McLean to blame Darren Ferguson for handing his transfer request in.

McLean and centre back Craig Morgan were the first players to arrive in Stamford to meet Fergie for his get-together. Until last night, this get-together was the subject that dare not speak its name around Peterbrorough and Stamford.

Believe me, there are a lot of problems at Posh and Mr MacAnthony is doing is best to deflect attention away from them. Problem is, this is his idea of his best and if you lot beat us tonight, those problems are going to get worse.
