Pickford or Iversen

Pickford or Iversen

Best 2 keepers we have had in 20 years, probably 50 if you take Nash out of the equation (honourable mention to Sam Johnson though).
To me Iversen shades it, purely because he is actually ours!
Both cracking keepers but in todays footie maybe Pickford is also on the short side (not that you can do much about you're stature).

I think Iverson is the best permanent Keeper i have seen at North End and that includes Alan Kelly Senior who is probably his closest competitor, albeit AK has the PNE longevity that Iversen will probably never achieve.

A ridiculous original question by the way. Pickford is miles better than anything we’ve had for decades in terms of a keeper. And he’s England’s best keeper since Seaman, if not before. I love the love that we have for Iversen and he is about as good as we could hope to own but some perspective is needed.

No I mean the fact the question is asked shows they are brilliant keepers so on that basis Iversen gets my vote because he has done well for more time than Pickford did for us. It’s about which keeper is/was best for us isn’t it? I don’t give two hoots what Pickford did for anyone else.

However by that logic it's a ridiculous analogy as the 2 are poles apart in terms of ability, performance within the Team and general appreciation from the Fans.
Whereas Pickford/ Iversen are both at a level you can reasonably make an argument for!

If we go up while he’s our first choice keeper, then Iversen will be immortalised!
 
Slightly off topic but i found.myself wondering if we had an offer for Iversen in Jan for.let's say £5m that could fund a.couple of signings e.g. LCB + Striker...would you.cash.in?
Difficult one..if we.have Gibson back + an upgrade at LCB would you.be as reliant on your keeper? Hopefully an additional striking asset + Osmajic returning would lead to.more goals.but Iversen has been absolutely superb and has contributed so much to our season

It would have to be a more ridiculous offer I think, given how difficult it would be to adequately replace him.

No.
Reason being, he's already won us God knows how many points which is more than £5m will get you in those two positions.

Ignoring longevity then a slightly different question then to “who is the best keeper you’ve seen play for North End”.

If that’s the question then it’s Pickford without question. I very much look forward to the day we get to witness someone better.

Say Ivesersne knocks out another 6 seasons at this level then he’d rightly go down as a club legend but Pickford is still unquestionable the best keeper id have seen play for us.

Alan Kelly Senior was a tremendous keeper as well. Very imposing and consistent.

Pickford and Iverson aren't comparable at all. Siding with players just because they play for our team is insane behaviour.
