Confirmed PNE Fan Advisory Network Launch – How PNE Online Is Involved.

Perhaps they are having to sift through thousands of quality applications before announcing their handpicked candidates. Only four days past closing time.

Just reading through some of the posts, the fanbase is divided already. It seems a good idea but I can't honestly see it making any difference how the club interacts with the supporters. Happy to be proved wrong though and well done to those "selected".

The fan base is bound to be divided and always will be. We're not a bunch of clones are we?

Supporters are being invited to have their say on who they wish to represent the fanbase on the Preston North End Fan Advisory Network (FAN).

Earlier this year, supporters were invited to apply to join the committee. Following an interview process with all those who applied, there are now 12 supporters bidding to earn one of the nine seats available.

As previously communicated, PNE fans with a membership number on the club database are being given the chance to place their votes for which supporters they would like to be part of the FAN. To help you with your vote, you can find profiles below of each supporter and why they would like to be part of the committee.

Once you have read through all 12 profiles, please place up to nine votes here before 8pm on Sunday 19th October. The results of the election will be communicated in due course.

Anyone who is up for election is more than welcome to post on this thread to appeal for votes, give a pitch or for you to fire sensible questions at.

@JK thanks for the opportunity to pitch for votes.

I like JK was a part of the temporary FAN which has got it to this point. A lifelong PNE Fan and like everyone want to build that engagement between supporter and club and being part of the FAN is a start. I here all the comments good and bad and I am in the same camp as JK in that we have been given an opportunity to drive this forward as a supporter without it being driven by any club agenda. Yes we won't agree on everything but together as a united voice we can affect change for the positive.

Please take a moment to read my statement on the site which is under Dave M and hopefully I will be chosen to represent this great fanbase along with the other great candidates.

Daves Statement:

As a lifelong supporter of the club and AKTE season ticket holder, I am passionate about contributing to the continued growth, inclusivity, and success of PNE both on and off the pitch.

I have had the privilege of being part of the Temporary FAN Advisory Group, actively involved in the setup process of the permanent committee. This experience has given me valuable insight into the goals and operations of the FAN and has further strengthened my commitment to its mission. If elected, I would aim to continue the work already undertaken and focus on delivering some of the topics already proposed.

My professional role involves supporting organisational development, staff engagement, and inclusive practices across a diverse workforce. These responsibilities have given me a deeper understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion and highlighted the importance of listening to and acting on the voices of underrepresented groups. These skills are directly transferable to the objectives of the FAN, particularly in ensuring that all supporters feel heard, valued, and represented.

As someone who works in a collaborative and consultative environment, I am comfortable participating in structured discussions, offering constructive feedback, and helping to shape strategic decisions whilst remaining transparent and approachable.

I believe my professional experience, personal passion for the club, and commitment to inclusive values make me a strong candidate and it will be an honour to represent our great fanbase if elected.
