No - the rules we were given were "place up to 9 votes", then people noticed they were actually being forced to make 9 votes, because the club had characteristically botched the voting process - in response to which, the club equally characteristically simply changed the rules, requiring people to "place 9 votes" instead.

How can anyone have faith in a FAN setup that cannot even get its own voting process right, and which then, instead of admitting its mistake and that the process was invalidated, and starting the process again, simply changed the rules to match their botch?

What a brave new world we have in store, when this is its foundation.

But - to any individual fan on here reading this - if the whole FAN process seems to you to be a pointless box-ticking exercise, to give a veneer of democracy to a bunch of people already hand-picked by the club because they won't rock the boat, then the correct response is not to "vote" at all.

Let the stitch-up enjoy minimal validation - because aside from the 12 candidates themselves, to whom it no doubt matters a lot, it doesn't matter one iota to the rest of us which 9 get picked.

I don’t see why anyone who has put their name forward should be getting any grief. Just because certain posters didn’t want to put their names forward for whatever reason shouldn’t give them any right to question those who have.

I hope that some good comes from this initiative, but whether it will only time will tell. But all the best to all those who could be bothered 👍

Credit to all who have, for caring enough to be willing to give up their own time to attempt to make life as a pne fan better for all of us

As soon as the thread started it was easy to predict who would be posting negatively on it.

Good luck to all those who have stepped up and I hope you have some success in representing us as supporters.

Notwithstanding his personal, errr, style there's no way he'd get through the 'selection process' which will weed out any deplorables.

They don't want dissenting voices - and they definitely don't want to hear them in public.

(These meetings could easily be livestreamed. They won't be.)

With the best will in the world, even if @JK or @kingsav go off piste, it's been deliberately set up on the club's terms in a Kafka-esque style to drown them out.

As I've said elsewhere, they talk about being open and transparent, then lace the whole thing with 'confidentiality' clauses, 'collective responsibility' lines and a written requirement to be 'polite' (a pretty subjective term) to those at the club (guess who) including when online.

Say something someone (guess who) regards as 'unfair' on here, upset an anonymous complainant, or do anything else apart from toe the line and you face being kicked out for SIX YEARS.

Good luck to everyone getting involved - and I salute those that do - but it reeks of the club ducking out of holding open fans' forums by setting up a very controlled talking shop that ticks whatever inconvenient boxes they have to tick.

Distract, divide, conquer - and carry on regardless.

Well, it's been a while since the voting closed. They were using Survey Monkey which means they got the results immediately after it closed. Absolute silence, at least to me and on here.

Makes me wonder if they did not like the results!

Been thinking about this. Either they didn't like the results, they are simply disorganised or there is a real reason I can't get my head around. In any case I find it disrespectful - there's an assumption that those of us who put ourselves forward can just be called on as and when. Hardly a good start.

did you really expect anything else given the way Ridsdale and Rhodes have used/treated the fans!!!!!!
