PNE Online Moderator Election 2023

Do you have some spare time and love PNE-Online?

PNE Online simply would not work without our moderation team of which is made up of supporters (Patrons) of the forum and it is time for our biannual moderator election.

We believe that anyone who supports the site financially should have the opportunity to become a moderator.

There are only two conditions:

You have to be a Patron of PNE-Online - (Anyone who joins up prior to nominations closing is welcome).

Anyone who has previously been banned from PNE-Online is unable to stand (we can check).

Your role will include moderating of threads, posts and supporting the admin team in keeping us legal, it also helps if you have an eye for spotting a lasher or two from 50 paces 😉

You do not need to be too techy but have a decent understanding of how the forum works would be useful.

The current moderation team have all decided to put their names down to continue and will go in the vote alongside any new nominations

As Senior Administrators of the forum @jakehake @gazzaholly will not be included in the vote.

There is no financial reward for this role but the self satisfaction of knowing you are helping to keep one of the best football and community forums online.

We will clarify the voting process once we know how many people wish to put themselves forward.

You can self nominate yourself on this thread or send me a DM.

Nominations are only open until 12 Noon on Sunday 28th May.

There are clearly second chances available on here, given the fact we have users who have previously been banned.

The fact some are patrons of the site, shows the mutual respect.

Unless a member breaks one of the cardinal sins which could lead to us being shut down, it is very difficult to get banned unless its a simple spammer.

Following some difficulties in the past we implemented that one simple restriction on becoming a moderator.

I know that won't be to everyones satisfaction but it isn't something we plan to remove.

I do think that this process should occur on a regular basis but does anyone really have any problem with the ones that we have ( other than the odd tiff) ? If they are all willing to continue and there's seemingly no one desperate ( or daft enough) to take over then we should all probably be grateful that they are happy to work for jack shit.

@JK ....... Please just pay up my patronage to 2030 rather than sending me a brown envelope for this vote of confidence. But keep it to yourself 😀

Theyre alright but I nominate @Nobber, the best mod this place has ever had 🙂
