Matchday Thread PNE v Stoke City - 9/03/24 - KO:3PM - Championship
Stoke have had 2 wins in 4 games and their fans think they can reach the play offs.....🤣😂🤣
What a bit of confidence brings !!!!
Reality is all games are going to be hard from now on with opponents facing relegation or in today’s case with Stoke, promotion.
And no Pearo.
Will DJ make a surprise appearance?
And the return of Iverson.
Not to mention the Lowe v Schumacher confrontation.

Among all the above imponderables Euro, today you can add wind factor.
Could be anything from annoying to a deciding factor.
Confident the team are in a much better place &, on current form, getting better each game.
Big 3 points up for grabs, COYW!!

Obviously I'm hoping for a win but it's great to be going on in the expectation of a bit of entertainment. It had become a real chore attending Deepdale, not what I spend my hard earned (pension) on.
A def feel good factor around Deepdale at the moment, we need to win this to keep that going, it won't be season defining but it's against stoke and the ex PNE brigade and it's master versus apprentice on the manager front. All to play for in a mini bragging rites way.
COYW, keep the good times rolling.

If we have any real aspirations to challenge that top 6 we absolutely have to win today. They are 22nd In the table for a reason.
We’re just off the playoffs, Stoke in relegation position. Guaranteed home win. What could possibly go wrong ?
In a way it’s a harder match than going to Southampton.

Hope we proper turn them over, wanker club (them, not us!)
Must admit they aren't my favourite either.
Will be good to see Iversen & DJ.
Probably a tight game & the conditions won't help either. Very windy out there today.

I agree with other posters it's a big chance to get 3 points today against a side in bottom 3 but look what happened against Sheff Wed QPR etc. We all know no easy game.
So we can't go into it thinking it will be would like to see a big performance tho. Season still alive which is the main thing currently.

Remember years ago at their old place, we were in the stand behind the goal and someone thought it'd be a good idea to have them in the seats above us. We had all sorts of shit flung our way that night, and they were trouncing us on the pitch!Must admit they aren't my favourite either.

God knows what it'd been like if we'd had a team that could compete with them back then - wankers.

I've only been to their place once, a few years ago. Not the most pleasurable of experiences.
It was absolutely freezing, you were taking your life in your hands just to get to the ground, the same after the game & I'm pretty sure we lost as well.
Why do nearly all our opponents fans sites say we are “physical”?
What the hell does that mean?
I don’t see us as overly aggressive or as a physical team, but it’s football, you can play it without some physicality....
Competitive I could agree with, but I don’t see us a more physical than other teams.
Is is just a Kop out?

You tend to see it when teams stop rolling over and handing 3 points out like sweets. Why do nearly all our opponents fans sites say we are “physical”?
