The thing is I've never felt our players lack effort. They're always trying, it just looks like there's a lack of structure and proper coaching. The daft thing about the Watford game as well is that when Lowe made his changes when we were 3-1 down, we just kept the same tactics. All we did was a few like-for-like changes with a bit of a reshuffle for players positions. Lindsay moved to middle centre back and Hughes replaced him at LCB. Brady replaced Potts with Millar moving to RWB and Brady at LWB. We didn't change system, just the personnel. It was the same formation and everything.

I've never been convinced that you should do more than 2/3 subs at once. I've yet to see it work well subbing 4+ players on at once. All it does is bugger up the cohesion and you've got almost half your outfielders trying to get up to speed.
