Deep breath. I've just endured Jordan Storey's pre-match video to get myself in the mood for tomorrow's game... and now don't want to go!!

My default is to be positive. I love PNE. Have done since my first game in 1978. When PH first arrived he said he wanted a change in attitude throughout the club, including the fanbase. Up until recently I have continued to defend him as he drags his boots through the Ridsdale/IOM mud. His recent media interviews have been DOUR. Jordan Storey's current interview is DOUR. Uninspiring, unenthusiastic, beige, negative.

We lose the DOUR Ben Whiteman (good riddance) and have chance to select a new club captain. To set the tone. To lead. To grab collars and bark when necessary. To show talismanic strength (Gregan anyone??)... and PH chooses Ali McCann?! Nice guy. Good player. But NOT who I would want as club captain of PNE. And DOUR.

DOUR is my chosen word to describe PNE's current personality - other suggestions?

The thing I've noticed is when we concede a goal the players just seem to accept it.

Look at the reaction when Wolves score their first goal, they all just turn around with their head down and walk back into position. You've just had 3 players make mistakes or defend poorly and not one player is shouting at them. It shows a weak mentality.

So my word would either be SOFT or WEAK

I agree with pretty much all of the replies.

Dour, insipid, feeble, wretched personality; colourless, predictable. North End in its current state is the guy sitting at at the end of the bar: sullen, dull, alone that nobody can be arsed talking to...

I reiterate that this is the personality right now. He wasn't always like this. And people can change...

I'll go for simplicity: 'slow'. On the field, off the field, from the day experience to the playing staff, to the coaching, the philosophy. It's all just slow.
