Some posters "have heard"/"have been told" theres something happening July 1st ....... I remain unconvinced and really can't see him gone before Christmas.

The time to replace him was at the end of May. This hasn’t happened and I think it’s likely that his job isn’t on the line this season at North End, as long as we don’t trouble the relegation zone.
Lowe has shown that he’s a capable enough as a manager to ensure a mid table Championship squad finishes mid table and there’s a fair chance we’ll all be here next June in exactly the same position.

Depressingly this is probably accurate.

I've gone for October after a dog shit start to the season, some poor signings and a total lack of any tactical plan whatsoever.

Hmmm, none of those Aug / Sept games scream "easy points" to me. 9th game is Burnley. Realistically he needs something like 12-13 points by then for it to be considered business as usual. I'm struggling to see where they are coming from.

Less than a point a game and the pressure is really on him.

I say he goes in October after a meek thrashing by Burnley.

Will he last the first 4 games?
Blades and Hatters at Deepdale plus Swans & U's away.... can't see any points... IF that happens then it will be no League win since April ☹️⚽️

No, that can’t be right because we are a well run club with premier league ambitions. 🙄

I originally voted 'beyond' on the basis that he wouldn't be sacked unless we looked to be in real danger of relegation - which I thought we wouldn't be as there'd be at least 5 or 6 teams worse than us.

Having looked again at the coming season's Championship, I've revised my opinion and I'm now going for a December departure.

Of course, he should have gone at the end of last season.

Which game will be his 24/25 version of Wigan (22/23) or Bristol City (23/24)?

You know... the one where he's effectively sacked at half-time but is saved by a second half rally, dodgy penalty or kamikaze opposition keeper.

I'm going 8th Feb at home to Millwall.

Which, rather depressingly, means I think he's here for the full season.

That's the day both the FFP year resets and the day we return for pre-season training. I think it was a little bit of Chinese whispers that basically someone was told by an ITKer nothing would be happening until that date, but it meant people got their hopes up.

Why do I feel he'll be here until at least the end of the season. Think he's able to convince the board that what he's doing is a project and needs more time... He's the manager equivalent of herpes.
