It was this article that led to the question.

Like Birmingham smoozing with their new money men is mentioned which makes sense. But why choose us? Like maybe schedules but location wise there's maybe other teams that be more than keen for the same

Looking at the lack of additions and the current injury situation it looks to me like we could do without either one of the upcoming friendlies .
If the interest in Whiteman is genuine he may be another who’s not available.
Either way there’s going to be some of the younger lads involved which could be an issue.

Not a good look.
But I think it’s the right decision. We already had two players injured yesterday. We need three players in at least before saturday. The club needs to act fast because a bad start (with very winnable fixtures early on) is just going to make it a very long season.
