Probably nothing in it like but...

To be fair, I personally think a lot of players do actually shit themselves when playing at Deepdale and it leads to individual errors and poor performances.

Can we just take a reality check please. This thread sums up the completely unrealistic perception some fans have of PNE as a club. I once heard it suggested that certain players could not handle the sheer size of Old Trafford and flopped as a result (Birtles, Leighton etc etc) but to suggest the same is the case at Deepdale is completely ridiculous.

Lets have it right, we (like Blackburn Bolton and Burnley) are a small time former mill town club with a stadium that is completely over the top for our needs. The only reason a professional player would crumble playing in our stadium is if he had a fear of row after row of empty blue plastic seats!

A ground the size of the 15000 capacity Keepmoat would have suited us just fine and allowed those who turn up to generate an atmoshphere

Billy, I simply go on the match for a catch up with my mates nowadays, much like I did 20 odd years ago pre Beck. No expectation, just a laugh, some dark humour and banter.

I am not sure if this is a good or a bad thing in all honesty.

Westleys biggest challenge is whether he has the balls to improve his coaching staff imo. His loyalty could well be his undoing. Time will tell.

Who are you? And what have you done with Wooley?

Wankerette!!!!! Crewe, Crawley and Walsall took the piss and Bury were hardly put off.

Pipe down you fat, Scottish cunt, how can I be a wankerette when I think Westley is shite?

I'm not talking about the stadium, I'm talking about being at a club with expectancy and fans who get on player's backs when they're served shit. Playing at Deepdale and losing with 9,000 fans moaning and booing is different to playing shit in a stadium with 3,000 fans when the fans are a bit more tolerant.

See my above post before making assumptions on my thoughts about PNE.
