Anyone else having problems logging on? I get a message saying site has been disabled - contact ISP provider.
I obtained entry 'through the back door' so to speak.

No problems here. The server was offline for a while last night, maybe something to do with that?

I've been having problems logging in with Chrome. I get the following error message:

Works fine with Safari, Firefox and Tapatalk, but nothing with Chrome. Anyone else having issues?

Probably cache issues since the problems over the weekend. Should hopefully sort itself out in the coming days.

This morning, I can log on with Internet Explorer.... but with Google Chrome, it tells me the website has been disabled.

It was the same for some of yesterday.

?

That sounds like a caching issue if only one browser is displaying it, use Ctrl-Refresh to force a new page download I think, or try going up a level on the URL maybe i.e. http://www.pne-online.net/forum or http://www.pne-online.net/

The server was DEFINITELY down yesterday - there was an interstitial page displayed from the host saying the site had been disabled. Again, you need to get better web hosting!

This post is done through my dads account as I am now not only unable to log on as 'baldygit' but my account has disappeared completely. Despite three requests for an explanation from admin (unanswered) I am none the wiser as to why this has happened.

As explained in the email sent to you previously, if you change your email address you must confirm it is real by clicking the link within the confirmation email sent.

Your problems are almost certainly closer to home as (another) reply sent to you by email last night has been rejected - sent to the same address you inputted on to the contact us form.
No emails received - it was my fault as there is a misprint in the new email address - see my latest message to you.

I didn't say the website wasn't down yesterday, I got the same error message so I knew what page he meant from his description. As it was only affecting a single browser of his it was most likely a cache issue local to him.

Again, you need to get better web hosting!

The web hosting service is commensurate with the support it receives from it's users. Thanks for your donation.

I am a patron, I think? And your answer certainly didn't give the idea you were sure about the outage, all I wanted to was to communicate there definitely was. So, really, why the snarkiness?

This outage has happened before and there are likely cheaper and better options for the price, but nobody has ever asked for my help on it. As my job involves looking after sites far bigger than this one, the offers there to help, as it always has been.

On a related point - if the hosting outage was because of busting through the bandwidth allocated, you'd be best to enable gzip compression - assuming you're not constrained by cpu.

Ta!

Your best bet is to ping Site Admins rather than Moderators. We don't have any access to file systems or board administrator functionality. They appear in Red in the user list eg Dai Vader, Jimbo, Al
