It’s no wonder they got hammered thenNo, this happened before the loss to Blackpool.

We didn't actually struggle against Millwall. 3 (arguably all 4) of their goals were down to individual or collective slackness at the back - not much wrong that day with general play or team setup, just players not doing their defensive jobs properly. That game should have been won.A few years ago I would agree but actually our best games this season (at home) have come against the teams who sit deep.
We struggle against teams that like to attack or who take the game to us. Millwall, Norwich, Stoke, Luton were all teams who came to deepdale and attacked us and we struggled.

Frankie's not taken the sacking well I see
I hadn't noticed before that the Oddschecker app has an active market for our next Permanent Manager based on some William Hill odds (though can't find it on the Hills site)
Edit: is it picking up data from an age ago given Howe is on it?!

In my previous job they hired that same bloke (he came with a couple of mates so we must have had a bigger budget). Genuinely one of the most baffling things that they thought it would help us in some way, I can't even remember what the day was promoting but probably motivation or some other HR bollocks. The only upside was they provided food and drink at least to break the boredom and baffled looks
Yeah, we once had similar for an overtime stock check. Before we started, the HR director ( from Holland ) had us all walk into a room to a very loud rendition of " Eye of the Tiger " and then announced that the best/most accurate team over that weekend would all get certificates praising/acknowledging their efforts.
Motivation my arse...We just wanted paying and she was told that sort of tripe was unlikely to have any effect on a British workforce other than to make them laugh and feel patronised which in fairness she took on board So no more rousing music or talk of certificates after that. The free food and time and a half went down very well though. 🙂

Thank fuck we steered clear. What an absolute freak Ainsworth is. Players look completely bemused.
Have you a link ?..... I'd like to know his answer to the final question? 🙂
Changing manager is unlikely to make much difference. However, just in case our man gets poached when Liverpool fire Klopp, it’ll be interesting to see how Duncan Ferguson gets on at FGR.
Not very well.
The five year contract seemed a bit generous at the time.
Interesting interim replacement.
Ryan Lowe is our manager. I have always thought this is the season where we would see what sort of team he can really make. We still need probably four more signings and the character they help bring to the team will be crucial. Oddly I have just noticed that Duncan Ferguson has been potted after just six months at the terribly politically correct Forest Green Rovers - there was a combination that never looked right. He is someone I would have been prepared to gamble on at the time we appointed RL.

Well. After a few tubbings in August I’m sure we’ll find out.

Not a chance because he won't get what he wants
Duncan was daft to leave Everton.. I'm sure he was offered the job at a time he was doing well. Strange.
if there was ever a biography (sports related) to read its the "duncan ferguson the life & crimes of a footballing enigma" its possibly the best book on a football player ever,Not a chance because he won't get what he wants
