Realistic Replacement.
Put Ridsdale as manager so at least in 6 months we can sack the dummy once and for all.I know I’ve started this thread with ‘realistic’ & the most realistic option is Lowe‘s going nowhere, but if he did, who can we realistically get in as the new gaffer.
Please NOT Ainsworth 🤯

David Moyes when West Ham sack him.
Pretty sure Southampton fans are desperate enough they'd do a straight swap for Nathan Jones

The "gaffer" is not the main problem. We need new owners and we need to get rid of Ridsdale.I know I’ve started this thread with ‘realistic’ & the most realistic option is Lowe‘s going nowhere, but if he did, who can we realistically get in as the new gaffer.

I’m not advocating Ainsworth, but people suggesting he’d be a shit appointed need a reality check. It isn’t like we’re currently playing like 1970s Brazil or have a pot to piss in.
I said on another thread that an old head knowledgable person. ie. Cotterill . Doing a decent job at Shrewsbury

Depends on definition of realistic
As I said on the other thread, Will Still would be a serious coup
Can't see him leaving Ligue 1 and a place where's he's clearly highly valued to come back to this dumpster fire.
In a perfect world I'd give Wilder the time to build a squad here. But it's irrelevant under current ownership as nobody's gonna be given the funds to actually make large scale changes. It'd just be some out of work chancer tasked to put out immediate fires.
Ian Evatt feels like a decent up and coming manager. Got Barrow out of non league and Bolton quickly out of league 2 and now he's established them in top 6 of league one which isn't a given these days as plenty of big clubs in there now.
However what he's doing is basically what Lowe was doing at Plymouth 18 months back so to me that sort of manager would just run into the same issues while the present ownership stubbornly remains.
I do wonder actually who else was in the frame last December. Who else apart from Lowe was interviewed, I assume a few ITK will have an idea. Carrick had left Man. United around that time so wonder if he was considered given the impact he's made at Boro (albeit with a far better squad and budget).

He isn’t daft enough to manage this club again.David Moyes when West Ham sack him.

If Wilder was whining at Boro about wanting another striker when he already had likes of Akpom and endless others who've hit it off under Carrick he'd last about two weeks of one transfer window here.
Can see him ending up at Bournemouth when they get relegated.
To be fair Ryan Lowe is his own worst enemy with his gob. He talks utter tosh. The "gaffer" is not the main problem. We need new owners and we need to get rid of Ridsdale.

I've said before, Duncan Ferguson, with the right tactical coaches, he's just what we need, that and family sized butter pies
