they were all jumping about like Broadmoor inmates on a full moon at the front of the Town End when their penalty was awarded ...I'd no problem with it and sat down
As asides - Zoko's goal was very well taken ...but a sloppy goal defensively , people have noted the Preston full backs are not given enough cover by wide midfield ...Opposition managers have certainly picked up on it ....especially under Mr Cuprinol .... i.e. " you have a go at their full back son as he's playing out of position "
Carlisle in parts reminded me of a West Ham team in the Tony Cottee / Frank McAvennie / Ray Stewart era when they came second in the old First Division , when they broke out or a later Cloughie era Notts Forest team ...only a bit more direct to suit League One .....I'll put my tin hat on !

worst ref i have ever seen, for both teams. A list of poor points:
-Gave a yellow to gray and a free kick only after he had found out he was injured.
-gave a sympathy penalty to them
-gave a sympathy penalty to us
-acknowledged small fouls outside the box but not in, e.g the constant hugging/shirt tugging of tsoumou
-playing advantage but not carding after advantage had been played.
-he was consistently, inconsistent.
feel free to add.

I think that just about covers it.
I also thought their RB was lucky to get away with kicking out at Tsoumou with just a yellow near the end.

Whereas players and managers are absolutely consistent.
Get a grip of yourself.
The ref was fucking awful.
No surprise seeing you defending them again though eh.
🙄
Some shocking refereeing in the first half, I would actually say it was only the referee that kept them in it in the first half. A red card for the foul on Barton would surely have left them with too much to do?
While I would say that McCombe was stupid it was always my understanding that if the striker made no attempt to show interest in the ball that it was considered "looking for a penalty" and was not given. I know that is not in the laws of association football but it is something we were always taught about keeping control of games (which is in the laws in a deliberately grey way)
I did think Hume used the not being offside from a goal kick rule very well today, it was refreshing as well that Stuckmann was able to take advantage of that a few times.
I hope we have better officials on New Years Eve anyway.

I thought the ref had a dreadful first half, fell for Carlisle's diving all over the place, the penalty looked really harsh to me, everyone was up in arms where I sat. The booking of Gray was disgraceful, he won the ball fairly and to book him made it look like he was to blame for the lad's broken leg. 2nd half he was definitely better. No complaints there.

This will make Gray feel... and certainly appear... like a villain. On the minute-by-minute reporting on the Carlisle website, despite clearly (and self-confessedly) written by someone who is very biased, it describes the incident as follows:-
Bit of a stoppage here as Loy is receiving treatment on the sidelines after being caught in a tackle. Didn't look too bad of a challenge but Rory hasn't got up yet and it appears that it could be the end of his afternoon, unfortunately

Just to confirm:
A player now (for about 8 seasons now?) cannot be offside from a placed goal-kick, i.e taken from the 6yd line.
A player can be offside from a 'goal kick' taken from the keeper's hands as the result of a continuation in play. The 'Man's kick to Hume from the goal area was taken from hand, about 16yards from the goal line. No offside with the timing of Hume's run and perfectly legal, but please confirm this law 6pence?

It was a free kick, but yes the point still stands 😛
Eh? I was talking about our first goal, which Hume scored???It was a free kick, but yes the point still stands 😛

As was I, Hume scored but Stuckmann launched it from a FK.
