After tonight's result, I've just had a look into the run of fixtures from boxing day onwards:

Carlisle (H)
Sheff Wednesday (H)
Rochdale (A)
Wycombe (H)
Leyton Orient (H)
Yeovil (A)

I was a bit unsure about the timing of the sacking of Brown, but on reflection it seems as though the new manager or Alexander/Unsworth have a good opportunity to get some points on the board early in their reign!

Oops sorry didn't realise. Nice run of fixtures then confident we can get back in and amongst the play offs.

I would give the caretakers these games to see if they can cut it. Would you?

I think ideally after the Rochdale game, they will have had four games to prove themselves, against 3 top half teams and a bottom half team, if they get 7+ points from these games I think they should be seriously considered for the full time job.

However, think a decision needs to be made at this point, not dragged out towards the end of January. Also if it was decided a new manager was to be appointed after the Rochdale game on the 2nd of Jan, they would have 2 weeks to work with the players to get their methods/tactics across with the Notts County game being postponed.

I would decide after Rochdale away.

If we are doing well then I would give them until the end of the season before having another look at the situation.

Rochdale away will be posponed. The last time Spotland hosted a game in January, Queen Victoria was on the throne.
