‘Then obviously the fear around the place, and everyone being anxious, playing backwards, groans and whatnot’.

Crikey, it’s the fans at fault for being anxious and groaning and the players for playing backwards. Whatnot also crept back in.

Yet again, it’s the fault of others.
Don’t worry in the Lowe bingo phrases will be “it’s not nice getting abuse” next

Surprised it took you this long to say that.

TBF I've seesawed up and down since Lowe arrived. During his first half-season in charge I said I had my doubts and highlighted how the football was no better than Frankieball, or Neil.

Last season too I criticised him regularly and the football, but put it into context with the lack of investment.

As recently as a few weeks ago I said I would give him until Christmas.

However I have always wanted him to succeed (like every PNE manager), especially in the face of poor backing from the boardroom.

I've even turned a blind eye to his blagging and bullshit, to a degree.

This season, however, there's no excuse. After thoroughly enjoying our remarkable start (and it really was remarkable, whether we were lucky or not - and we were), the results, the football and the performances have reverted to a carbon copy of last season, or worse.

Lowe has had a good enough of a chance. He's been backed with signings (players and staff) and has some raw but talented youngsters at his disposal.

It's not our league position that bothers me so much, although it's really dissapointing to be slipping quickly down the league.

But the real issue is the manner of our defeats and the abject performances. The deterioration of players who we've recently signed and those who've been here longer. Not to mention the disgraceful match stats, shots on goal, GF, GA, XG etc.

Top this all off with a manager who appears to think our performances are competitive and the football is great...essentially a bloke who talks bollocks, and enough is enough.
A great, fair-minded post; why can’t you be like this more often? 😘

Ryan, a bit of advice for you to follow.....

What does in the game mean? We have no purpose and no intent. We got lucky with the goal against Cardiff. I'm not angry just bored at watching each play take five too many touches before passing the ball backwards.
I wish we could take 5 passes and pass it back. I often see 2 passes and give it back to them. 😭😭

Perhaps you're really asking why don't I agree with you and the perceived majority on here more often?

I get that some fans can't stand RL and were never going to take to him because he's a scouser and they find his persona and character extremely irritating. And TBF he can be irritating. But he's also enthusiastic and bubbly/energetic.

But I just want the manager to succeed, whoever it is, until it becomes blatantly obvious that it's hopeless.

As I've said, I was never fully convinced about Ryan from the start. SOME of his BS and gibberish can be ignored to an extent and give him the benefit of the doubt, especially when we're doing well in the league.

But I've lost so much respect for Ryan over the last few weeks. It started really with the BS he put forward about Mads, (talking about him needing to contribute more) when the stats at the time of goals and assists for Mads in relation to minutes on the pitch were excellent and showed that Lowe was talking complete bollocks.

He also openly criticised Mads on the one hand for not contributing enough, whilst on the other hand he was playing the supposedly experienced pro Brady, who REALLY wasn't contributing, never has contributed and repeatedly lets the manager and his fellow players down.

However, regardless of whether Ryan is the right manager, or whether the fans like him or not as a person, he's still a human being and what I won't do is call him insulting names.

And I will maintain that were unlikely to appoint the 'right' manager next and we will find ourselves in exactly the same position in 36 months or less.

He wants the brand to be like Liverpool with patient defensive approach play. Unfortunately once we eventually get past the half way line we are more like Hartlepool.

He's just said he disagrees with the sky interviewer who said we just weren't in it.

He said he thought we were in it.

He's full of shit and completely deluded.

1 shot on target in 2 games Ryan!

8 goals conceded and 1 scored in 3 games Ryan!!

FUCK OFF!!
To be fair, he's right in that particular point. Both teams were awful and we were absolutely in it, at least until midway through the second half. I'm not saying we were any good at all - we were in it mainly because of how bad they were.

I never understand this argument. What does us being 8th have to do with anything. 2 more games and we could be 14th. Make changes whilst there is still something to play for. Don't fuck about until the rot sets in and you need another complete overhaul. We've got the talent, now we just need someone who knows how to use it.
We did that with Irvine and got Fergie...

He didn't blame the fans, don't rewrite it. He actually was very understanding of how the fans are feeling.
However, Ched has at least called out the "fear" stuff, basically saying they're in the wrong job if they can't deal with it
