Have we forgotten how to shithouse to shut down games when we’re ahead? Over the years we’ve had some masters of the dark arts - the likes of Fisher, Ched, Garner, Greg Cunningham and even Sean Maguire could fall over and win a fowl on demand.

Also it’s not about getting booked for time wasting as Woodman has been doing. It’s about frustrating the opposition within the rules of the game and making sure we don’t concede in the last 10 minutes.

I think this is very reactionary. We didn’t do it great agains to Plymouth but I thought we did it pretty well
Against Burnley, Watford and Coventry plus Luton.

The game at the weekend is the first time we’ve conceded after 75 minutes under Hecky. We’ve scored the first goal 6 times under hecky and gone on to win three of them. We ain’t bad at it overall although we didn’t do it great against Plymouth.

Kesler Hayden has the potential to trump all of them in terms of shit housing.

I don't think that shithousery features on Hecky's curriculum?

If it isn't, it should be. Every team resorts to it to ease pressure at crucial times. Even tennis players like McEnroe did it to great effect.
For what it's worth, I don't think we are far away from being very competitive in our league. The learning curve has a few kinks in it as we saw last week, but it is a learning curve with an upward trajectory. How to use sh*****sery effectively is part of that curve.

I tend not to agree, the diving, especially in the box, has increased markedly since the end of the Lowe era.

Thinking about it, though, we never got in the box to dive back then!!!

When you go 2-0 up so quick like against a decent team like Norwich, it is hard to maintain as the opposition have to come out and play. What you do is try and pick them off on the counter - we missed our chances.

Against Plymouth, 1-3 was fine. We had changes to kill it, missed them again, and they got to 2-3 and we panicked.

Will learn from it.

Yeah the quality and consistency of the Fisher flop will never be matched. Guy even managed to wrap his legs round the player behind him so they both would fall.

Holmes & Kessler-Hayden are both good at buying fouls though.

As has been mentioned above we saw out games against Luton and Coventry, Norwich played well and Plymouth was just one of those freak things that happen every decade or so.
The defence clearly needs strengthening but I don’t think there is any need to panic over our ability to see games out.
Woodman tries to slow it down to the point he’s nearly at a suspension.
It breaks play up but I suspect that for every 30 seconds wasted the ref will add on a minute.
