Need to be winning this today.

Our strongest team possible, even with injuries, goes there and comfortably puts this to bed without issue.

Just hope there’s no Roversesque stage fright given that Stoke and Boro have tough games and we could easily go level on points with both.

Stoke v Hull
Boro v Derby
Millwall v Southampton
Coventry v Charlton.

Imperative that we take 3 Points today and hopefully, as a Brucie Bonus, improve our GD against a team already on -21.

Safe trip to those going today.

I feel this is a bit of a banana skin like the Rovers game.

We should be winning & we probably expect to win given their circumstances but it certainly won't be easy.

pivotal game this, under strength Wednesday team, possibility of a lot of other teams around us getting results, this is one of them to show whether we have any intent to challenge or just settle for safety again.

Im with others, on this game, and its not disrespect Wednesday, this is a game where 3 points is vital if we are to be realistic contenders going into the Christmas period and beyond.

I'm still thinking safety right now. To give me any illusion that we're challenging for the top 6 we need a comfortable 3-0 win or similar.

When (if) we're still up there with 50 points in our pocket then I'll start believing.

I hoping for a 'statement' win. Sheffield Wednesday's workload with a threadbare squad is surely going to catch up with them.
Get on top early doors, protect Lindsay and Storey, and get minutes into our injury returnees.

Well , I was pleasantly surprised on Tuesday , went to Watford expecting nothing , today I think is a must win , if we have real ambitions to stay in and around the top six Sheff Wed away is a must win , no excuses , play the best eleven , first goal vital , got home late on Tuesday so didn’t post but these where my player ratings
Iverson 7 ( Kicking not great )
Hughes 7 ( Having a great season )
Lindsay 7 ( Did his job , always gives it 100 per cent )
Storey 7 ( A little shaky in the first half )
Offiah 7 ( Decent but a couple of silly fouls )
Thompson 7 ( Decent debut , looked solid if not spectacular )
Thor 6 ( Thought started well and faded , 6 might be slightly harsh ! )
Dobbin 7 ( lovely play for the goal )
Jebbison 8 ( MOM , led the line well )
Lewis 6 ( Did ok , looked a little vulnerable at times )
Devine 7 ( Could have done better on a couple of occasions )

Subs - Smith 6
Mads 6 , Small 7 , Pol 7 ,

I've got a horrible sinking feeling about today. This has classic "first team to lose at Hillsborough" vibes all over it.

Have to be aggressive from the off, seize the I initiative and do not let up.

Any of 9 teams could overtake us today if we lose so obviously a win would keep us in the playoffs. Luck, referees decisions, bounce of the ball and mistakes could bring about a defeat. We’ve currently got the best squad in years and man for man have a better team so should win. But it’s football and Wednesday are feeling a bit more buoyant after their change of ownership.
