He's put us in a very difficult position. Anyone likely to sign him will also have seen all the incidents over the last few years and will be aware we're looking to get rid, so his value will be as low as it's been since we signed him.

Financially we're probably best playing him for the rest of the season and hoping he hits a goalscoring run so we can sell him for a decent fee in the summer. That would obviously be difficult to take and might piss off the rest of the squad.

Unfortunately it seems like, as we did with Riis, we've missed the right time to sell him when his value was highest and might now lose him for way less than we could've got last summer.

Make him play for any new club ( & the Galatasery Reserves / Bench sounds the perfect place ) - as these next 5 months are his show window for his next wage.
If there's no-one seemingly in the frame for coming in - I don't see what good it would do to show him the door now. Just fine him & raise his Goals bonuses.

I’m usually one for forgiveness, everyone does stupid shit. But this guy simply isn’t learning and losing a player for 8 or more games every seasons isn’t sustainable for a club like us. It’s almost as bad as having an injury prone player.

How many fans moaned about a few red cards every season that Pearson received. This guy is far worse. Shame because he’s a very good player.

I suspect if Trevor were around he would have be acting more decisively . Which players was it that ended up fighting each other on the pitch a few seasons back. ? Did the club reputation no good and was an embarrassment all round. Whatever … that was effectively there time here terminated. I would not condone selling him for the sake of it - but you cannot help feel for the rest of the players thst you cannot be carrying ‘the baggage’. However / the track record of replacing players because of budgetary constraints is verging on the incomprehensible in situations like this. If our 2nd half of the season is as bad as last years - where would we be ending up?
