That injury completely derailed is as he was in probably the best form of his career. He never recovered at all and wasn't anywhere near good enough for the championship upon his return...so we kept him for another two years.

That goal Ched scored down at Reading one Friday night was brilliant. Took the ball on the halfway line, ran a bit, saw only player within 20 yards of him was probably Brady so thought to himself I'm not passing and ran a bit more and then got to edge of the box and hit a shot that arrowed into the corner.

Think he got his neck injury later on in the season and with Riis out with an ACL it was just slim pickings for a few weeks until Cannon turned up on loan.

Yeah it was Cannon and Evans as our form picked up and we looked like having a shot at the play offs...Cannon, Parrott and Delap looks good on paper but we really missed Evans in that form.
 
Was talking to a Luton Town supporter today & he reckoned that our Ched Evans was a thug! Don't know where he got that from!!
 
Been a bit disappointed in Smith, I get he was brought in as squad player and to offer something different. Looked poor esp when he started games, he so static as well and barely moves. Risk you take though signing a 33 year old.
