  • Storey & Gibson are the only potential centre back partnership that negate each other's weaknesses.
  • Playing a back three means the RW we chased all summer has to play as a wingback or sit on the bench.
  • Both of our LBs are very injury prone.
  • Offiah & Clarke can't play in the same XI unless one is shunted out to RWB.
  • If we play the 3-4-2-1 Alexander used at Bradford, none of our strikers look capable of playing the lone front man role.
The above says to me a 3-4-1-2 is the most logical choice, even though it's a kick in the bollocks for Stanley Mills.

For me, thats the best balance whilst getting the best out of everyone. Clarke as the more defensive wingback with Small as the more offensive one. However, based on his Bradford squad, I can see Grezza setting up with -

Confused. Are you suggesting we play Thompson as a left midfielder?
 
Worth noting that Harry Clarke has four yellow cards already so is likely to be banned for a match within the next week or two.

Have millwall still got that giant centre back? Cooper? Can’t see that we can go in with Gibson and Offiah as our CB partnership, even if they are the best 2 players in the positions.
