Squad dilemmas

A Thomas' Tuchel England esque 4-2-3-1 is prime for this squad...

Iverson
Clarke-Offiah-Gibson-Wiley
Leroy-Thompson
Mills-Devine-Small/Vuk/Lang
Kenny

He and Iversen have seen off four managers now...

One goes under the radar. One does not.
We’d be in League One currently were it not for Dan Iversen.

Lindsay is one of the worst centre backs to play for us at this level and it’s absolutely criminal he’s been on our books for as long as he has.

This may be so, but Millwall have some big bruisers, and it wouldn't surprise me if Lindsay started on Saturday.

And yet him surprisingly coming in to the side to replace Patrick Bauer under Lowe (and Freddie Woodman signing) saw us go on our record-breaking run of clean sheets...

I've been a massive critic of HMS Lindsay in the past, and I 100% think we should part ways now, but he's no Andy Boyle.

He's a fragile, quiet, confidence player and simply doesn't have the mentality or sheer hard man bastardness to suit his physical size or brush off the errors. He dwells on them, leading to more... At least, unlike Nathan Jones, we didn't pay £2,000,000 for him though hey.

If only we'd had Chris Lucketti to train him at 24 onwards, instead of being 31 later this month with Peter Murphy as defensive coach having been demoted from failing on set pieces.

Always gonna happen in today's game when you play with the aggression he does. He's a proper throwback of a player, sadly the game is fucking boring nowadays.
Should probably learn to time his tackles too.

I like how you've picked 3 players who aren't LW's to play there over the only actual LW we have in Burgzorg. Quite funny.
You think that Vuc can't play there given (1) that's where he started his career (2) he is arguably our best crosser of the ball?

Would love to see Vuc as a pure wide attacking player for his crossing ability.

Vukovic beats his man out wide and crosses. Mills beats his man out wide and crosses.
Get men in the six yard box and there's always a chance.
It's a game best kept simple.
Give it a go.

Too easy to nullify if he's stationed further forward. Doesn't have the trickery or acceleration to beat his man.

He needs a Devine or Lang ahead of him to be cutting inside and creating the gaps for him to exploit, using his pace to burst in to the space late once we've got men in the box. Too early, and he'd have nobody in there to cross to anyway.
