It’s a shame if his progress has stalled. Either way, I was surprised he wasn’t given any opportunities this pre-season, not even against the likes of Southport and Brig.

Because he's nowhere near the first team. He really didn't do enough last season to break through, hardly scoring at all . I still think he has something, but another year of development and hopefully body building. I guess he'll get a local loan as I think he's studying for his A-levels.
