I don't know where you get the "bully" name from Ron as only you seem to be affected by my posting style, a posting style that is within the rules of this forum, and as an ex mod I feel that I do know where the boundaries are. You do come over as a bit of a Football Manager cut and paste geek who is prone to flapping (much like Jones) and crying to anyone who will listen imho, still you make me chuckle and help pass the hours when work is boring me.

PSG and St Greggs share a coach these days that they organise, the club deal with ticket allocation and coach travel for so many that travel (and do a bloody great job) so surely the club can easily arrange tickets and travel. I am not having a go at PSG but I feel that all this cloak and dagger stuff is pointless, lets get the thing voted for much earlier so that it can be planned well in advance and enjoyed/celebrated by as many as possible, so I can understand WIBG's comments re this matter.

Those are fair enough comments and possibly ones that can be discussed for future dates. As I see it PSG, from gentry days inception, have always been the ones whove had contact with the club when organising the day.

My only connection with PSG is the fact that Im a member, ive nothing to do with the organising of this whatever, in fact, earlier in the season, I wanted it to be on a totally different date to sir toms anniversary as I wanted nothing to take away from the fact that this is about the fans. I was shot down on that one, fair enough again.

Thanks for this. I know that being a Mod is a thankless task (I have done it myself on a non football related forum). The weakness of the system has been exposed because of where these spats have ended up. In my view, the Mod team need to decide whether or not they need to get a firmer grip or whether these sorts of battles are the price we have to pay for being open and allowing spats to develop into something rather more unpleasant. FWIW, I think that a more consistent and transparent approach needs to be the order of then day and in that way, fewer "incidents" may occur. However, it is inevitable that there will be disagreements and the board would be all the poorer without them. It's about clear boundaries which are impartially policed....I'll shut up now.

Think that you are speaking a lot of sense, Essex - the direction that this situation was going to take was apparent many weeks ago and should have been stopped before it escalated. Not a go at the mods because, as you said, they are constrained by the rules.

Whilst it is important to have a forum where people have the freedom to post whatever they want, it is equally important that people have the freedom to post without facing abuse or having to wade through pages of toxicity.

Many people are not interested in conflict or participating in fights - on a forum just as in real life. They should be equally free to contribute without being made to feel uncomfortable by big personalities.

Always a difficult balance to find. 🙂

Its when you belittle peoples footballing opinion and make claims about being the Voice of PNE Online and use that self proclaimed title to belittle people even more.

I will never advocate bullying but IMO bullying is when someone is picked upon or singled out for no reason whatsoever, in this case you have brought it upon yourself. Too recently has every debate I have participated in on here ended with you using the Voice of PNE Online jibe and Billy calling into question my working life, now I have to put up with Mossy bringing up my past Username of 4 seasons ago.

I too enjoy our footballing debates, but they usually end with you tallying up an imaginary points score and calling me an idiot. Name calling can take many different forms whether you call me a cunt or an idiot the effect it has on the person comes down to them personally not the person handing out the abuse.

Simple answer.

If a Post is deemed to be OTT and/or Offensive, then the simple thing to do, if any complaints have been forwarded to the Mod Team, is to have a quiet word (not an Infraction) with the poster concerned explaining why, in an adult manner, the post is being removed and deleted including any post with it quoted.

Or, we just carry on as we are with threads like this.

Some things are really quite simple Shinny, there are not enough elected mods to offer cover throughout the day/night, some as was shown yesterday have used personal issues with certain members to "bully" said members and are allowed to do so irrespective of THEIR own reasons where they should be impartial!!!!

Senior mods and admins seldon seem to help with the day to day running of the threads and their content and seem to have elevated themselves "above" this resposibility leaving the elected (and clingons) to share this burden, this is further weakened when some mods have a beef with certain posters.

Back to the Gentry day topic that started this whole saga, I support WIBG is his original stance re PSG and keeping us all waiting re the date/game, why do this and why do they take ownership of this, surely confirming potential numbers and coaches is the resposibility of the club, what else is there to do? Raef and his bullying of WIBG was so ott I could hardly believe what I was seeing.

Nobber did join in the personal stuff aimed at WIBG yet all is well in Modnarnia with regards to the speed at which the thread was split and the abuse aimed at one poster!!!!!!!
