I like to think I'm a clever lad, but I'm really struggling with something if I'm honest and was hoping someone could maybe help me out.

I've now read several times, from several different posters, that I bring all the abuse upon myself, ultimately that I deserve it. Now granted some of the abuse is taken as it should be - two grown blokes having a bit of a ding dong and the odd expletive is used, and although I very rarely swear or use foul language I can live with that. However, it's when people overstep that mark that I have an issue with.

As I've said numerous times I've posted things I shouldn't and even though I've received infractions and publicly apologised for them there is no denying I was out of order and let myself down, but 2 or 3 indiscretions over a 10 year period is nothing compared to what I have to face and endure on a daily basis on here from some posters. Yet all I hear is that I bring it upon myself, so my question is simple, what exactly have I done, or do I do, that allows people to continue to hurl abuse at me, insult my wife, suggest I have mental health problems, wish that a blood test result come back positive, openly post personal details about me and harass and bully me on threads? If it really is because I believe that Grayson should be sacked and replaced with Billy Davies, or that I'm still paying the penalty for the indiscretions I mentioned then surely I have more 'ammunition' than most to go on a abuse campaign against others?

If the abuse hurt you as much as you're claiming I think you would have logged off this forum by now.

The reason you come in for flak is that you purposely go out of your way to wind other posters up to be the"anti establishment" guy. People are going to give you abuse if you call them idiots, constantly belittle them, keep an argument scoreboard and then use the self proclaimed Voice of PNE Online title to make out that you opinion is better than everybody elses.

I'm guessing you've pissed off the Mods in question at some point and if you target them like you targetted me albeit it was only over a few months compared to some of the people in this argument being on here 10 years then there is going to be some sour grapes. Lesson to learn don't piss of the people who run this forum.

Like I have said before, you reap what you sow and in my nearly 4 years (Yes I know, not your 10) the Mods have never targeted me, I have never had problems with either Nobber or Raefil and have openly debated with them on many topics. Therefore I can only assume that this fire got started somewhere and you merely poured petrol on it with your patronising WUM nature that I have come to associate with you.

nope deany, I don't agree with the present setup, more elected mods are needed to cover the full day, seniors need to take a more responsible attitude and the admins just pass everything back down to the elected mods, it's shit mate.

members like Bardy, Llanroc and Edgy would see a fair and disciplined thought process showing impartiality and reason, the nomark wannabees should only be allowed to post 10 times a week unless they cough up. I don't agree with the way this place offers nothing more that a poor facebook substitute when previous admins/owners organised REAL social meets and events to help make this place better.

See mate you do yourself no favours, I don't condone the abuse you have had levied your way but the more we have discussed this thread and others I can see why you have come in for the abuse.

You deserve abuse, but not to that degree.

Fair comment JD, and as someone I respect on here I will take your comments on-board.

But does calling myself the 'Voice of PNE Online' really justify the level and type of abuse thrown my way?

If you don't want the abuse don't be the patronising self proclaiming wind up merchant persona you are.

Simple, stop the problem at its source.

I liked the first part of this in a sea of long posts and seriousness. Not so sure about the second line though 🙂

On a serious point it is always going to take time for people to read threads and comment in the moderators section so we can never expect instant action.

That said it is my opinion that the off topic stuff (including WIBG post criticising PSG) could have been formed into its' own thread much earlier and therefore done much less damage to the serious Gentry Day thread.

If someone wants to start a "are there people in PSG who like the sound of their own voices?" type thread then I think that is perfectly valid. Just as I would say all "Grayson out" threads are valid. Neither agree with my own viewpoint, but...

What happened on the Gentry Day thread now haunts the forum through this thread.

Anyway, I think it is good this disucssion is happening and that the four key players have been identified and are/will be rightly dealt with.

Its how he uses it in a patronising manner Billy and doesnt offer anything to the debate apart from calling me an idiot and proclaiming his opinion is marshall law because he is the Voice for PNE Online.

Winds me up and others posters who want to debate properly therefore I can see why he has been on the receiving end of some abuse.

It doesn't deserve THAT level of abuse - agreed.

However, you should expect a lower level of flack to come your way back if it's winding people up.

The thing is, everyone has a different level before certain buttons become pushed. That's the eternal problem as I see it.

Only once, in the early days, have I flown off the handle at you on here - and I apologised the following day, more annoyed at myself for biting.

Gentle wind ups are fun, it's when people start getting personal and dark with each other that it goes beyond any decency.

Possibly the only way around this is if certain people re-register under a new alias, lose their post counts and keep their previous views to themselves thus avoiding any visual aggro on here.

It's a shame that things have decended to this low level...
