Words have been had with all users so the same applies to all of them. Expecting mods or others to "end" things all the time when the simplest solution is people ignoring /not responding to each other as grown adults is the simplest, but most underused method

Were you not voted in to deal with issues though Jake rather than shirk responsibility , excuse me Mr mod I'm being bullied , well deal with it yourself were merely here for show

Because I've sat back and hidden throughout all this haven't I. We have limited powers, if I close the thread, a new one starts(and lets not go in to what some users get like if anyone dares touches their post/threads or moves them, some users are precious that way naming no names). With the powers we have there were little other actions that could be taken
 
This sorry saga started on Tuesday before 8.30, and here we are on Friday close to 5pm, not once has a senior or an admin made an appearance to show some guidance either to the members or in support of the mods, this is tragic and makes you wonder what sort of power trip they are on, a bloody shambles leaving jake to try and do his best while the others do FUCK ALL (6p excluded).

I know they are all just waiting for this to die down and go away, another will come along and what kind of moderation can we expect?

Jake for a clingon you do try hard, and that goes someway to making up for your less than mature utterings as a mod at times, well done.
 
As a sidenote, would this have worked like it does in industry...........

All four protagonists suspended immediately pending an investigation.......... Investigation completed and then findings and verdict published ..... Bobs your Auntie.

It's pathetic, sniping posts like this that don't do you any favours Jake.

I'm on a hat trick remember, so maybe best you don't get into a 'battle' with me.

The shit that's been dealt could easily have been helped by people behaving a bit more like adults.

So would you like to see a new era were 8 new mods are voted in with the 3 remaining admin and an open ballot so its seen to be all above board and new infraction laws of 3 strikes your out for a month ?

jake this is a walk in the park compared to some of the shit that used to fly about 4/5/6/7 yars ago, mods had a quiet word with with some posters rather than wait for the deluge of reports and if a thread needed to be closed or split it was, 'swere posted and if it was felt that the thread could reopen it was, decent simple mature modding, you must feel like the one with your finger in the dyke!!!!

If that's what it looks like from the outside then some users are still doing a good job at hood winking others. As per some other comments, as we can't discuss what is said in the mod forum it allows some users to portray images and/or untrue reflections of situations to try and stir up support or Ill sentiment. Sadly other users can't always see through the charade so there is little we can do about that bar breaking rules ourselves.

Likewise as much as some ex-mods like to say how they have dealt with tricky situations in the past with tricky and disruptive users creating a lot of work I think it's fairly unprecedented that it involved moderators as protagonists. On that point specifically some of the "alternative measures" I've asked about and even looked into (as they require changes to the forum software) wouldn't actually have worked as Moderator privileges overrides te sanctions that would have been available to us. That said, it's not my forum either so the choice of what functions there are, is for someone else to decide and build if they so wish

I always have a good evening so fear not , go on give me a forum issue and ill give you an immeadiate solution , because modding is easy now compared to the days of the Paris Hilton pow wow
