I think we are entitled to know why it has taken over 24 hours to remove a thread which quite clearly overstepped the mark resorting to puerile abuse over a member of this messageboard.

I'd have understood it more, if you'd left it but right from the off, it broke the messageboard rules, and was left there. Every credit for the lass's response but why should she have had to put up with that, I've known people dismissed for such hilarious "banter" as that.
 
Myself and the rest of the mods will be taking action out against at least one person on the thread, I personally have been browsing via my HTC and have only today got "real" internet back in my new house.

I, personally, feel that it got out of hand today, hint why it's been pulled by prestonsg pending further discussion from the mods.

Any further questions, PM one of us. Can I also re-iterate the use of the "report" function. ANY user can bring an issue to the Moderators attention by using the 'report post'

Agree but I am also one who actually understands her emotion as a demonstration of her real support for our club / town. I saw the same woman happy on the concourse at half time etc - I mean I felt bloody angry as an alternative emotion. But being open to ridicule is another thing and those who posted such should be castrated at dawn.

The thread has been deleted and rightly so - don't start another one about it. If you have any comments to make on the disgraceful thread - send them to a moderator.
 
Can I just point out that the lady in question did not ask for any action to be taken re this thread, I think she rose above the purile crap posted by quite a few, the only good thing was that these arsewipes have shown themselves up to be nothing more than that, arsewipes.
Well done to you Miss PNE, you can hold your head high, others should just go back to the cave that they came out from over the seekend.
Perhaps some on here can just get over the "sticks and stones" rubbish that is posted, however bullying, trolling, raciscm, paedo stuf and the likes are taken very seriously.

Billymac - one of those crap mods, and if I had a £1 for every time I have been called a fat jock bastard I would indeed be very rich.
 
I think she handled the situation very well.

A poster on here once called me a fat c**t with slanty eyes, from the safety of his keyboard...

He wasn't so forthcoming with the insults when I confronted him about it in the Adelphi pub.
