Terrible prices. On the Saturday Rovers charging Watford £11 and Watford putting coaches on at £10.

£60, 3 days before Christmas for an 8 hour round trip to sit in the freezing cold for 2 hours watching us struggle to have a shot on target.
🤔🤔🤔🤔
We’ll be lucky if there’s 200 there

Fuel cost around £350. Driver max £200. [maybe £400 if needs two because of hours]. 50 passengers at average £31 = £1550. Still leaves quite a tidy profit for the coach operator.

Hmmm…. Every hundred miles driven is a hundred miles of depreciation on your coach, which probably cost £100-200k - and they’re probably paying interest on a loan for it too. What is the life of their tyres, brakes, fluids service intervals etc?…. huge costs.. and 400 miles is a chunk of those.
Cost of sales - credit card charges…. and you have to account for the fair chance that not every seat sells.
And all that is before you start thinking about fixed costs like insurance, offices, sales, marketing, website, employee salaries (other than the drivers) and loads and loads more.

Do you work in transport then?

One of only two grounds I haven't been to in our division so I'm going as a "Christmas present". Standard championship prices for adults, bargain for my son, and the coach for two of us costs less than my fuel would (that's rare so I usually drive). Happy with that.

I'll see you there. Just got my freebies for Middlesbrough and Preston. It is a long horrible journey. Avoid the M50 / A465 (new road being built and speed restrictions all over the place). Guess the coach driver will go M6 / M5 / M4 . Decent ground with a good, friendly atmosphere, Plenty of eateries nearby - Greggs, Costa, Harvester, Kentucky, Chip shop etc. Swansea have been dreadful this season, so much so that I've only seen them three times and one of those was at Deepdale. Will Swansea have a new manager in place by then? Will Preston have the same manager in place? Enjoy your trip. I'll being doing the reverse for the Leeds game.
