Let’s hope we’re all smiling at 2.30 on Saturday!
Don't think you can go too far from the team that started the second half.
Think if Docherty is signed before the deadline I'd probably give him another week before starting. Thompson shouldn't be brought back in unless suspension or injuries.
Thought Moran and Burgzorg linked up quite well last week, should hopefully be given another chance.

Devine Leroy McCannIf we get Docherty in , what midfield 3 would people go with when McCann is fit again ?
It’s a squad game and they’d all have a part to play. Especially with our injuries and the fact McCann will break down after 10 games
One change - Moran for Small.Iversen
Offiah Storey Hughes Vukcevic
Mills Potts Leroy Small
Kenny Erabi
Small will get his chance.
You are being a bit harsh on Tommo, he hasn't let us down so farAnything just keep Thompson out of the team.
Can't see Small getting a start, when he comes on he doesn't do enough, looks like he is sulking to me. Erabi not good enough to start again doesn't do enough other than wave his arms at the fans.Iversen

Thought Pottsie did great last week no reason not to start him. Its a Devine or Moran to start dilema the rest pick themselves after last weeks great improvement

Most telling thing Graham Alexander has said since he came back
‘Round pegs, round holes ‘ taken umpteen managers to actually state the bleeding obvious . In Grezza I trust ‘

I have long since given trying to second guess what team any PNE manager will select. But for tomorrow I would suggest GA has four key decisions to make:
*if Gibson is fit does he recall him to replace Hughes not because Hughes played poorly in the last match - he didn't he actually played well - but because we cannot overtax Hughes by using him as a regular starter.
*if Devine is fit does he continue to start him or give Moran a go.
*presuming Thompson is back does he return to the centre of midfield in preference to Potts who until he tired was surprisingly effective there last week.
*does he persist with Burgzorg to partner Kenny or give the more aggressive Lang or Erabi a start in that role.
The main thing, though, will be to ensure the team plays with the same spirit and energy as last time - if we do then we are certainly capable of getting something from this match.

I didn't realise what a bogey team we are for them at their shit ground. Since their relegation from the Prem:
2018-19 0-2
2019-20 0-2
2020-21 0-0
2021-22 1-2
2022-23 0-1
2023-24 0-2
2024-25 0-0
2025-26 0-0
Five wins, three draws (all 0-0); one goal conceded.
We are going to get twatted aren't we?

Moran should start this 100%. He had a poor loan spell at Stoke a few seasons ago so will be up for this regardless.
Have a ridiculously good record at Stoke. Genuinely can't remember the last loss away to them but tomorrow will be very difficult so will do well to get a draw.
