I don't want him to, but i'd be almost shocked if Ledson doesn't start in this one, under the instruction of just following Szmodics around for the entire game.

Hopefully Woodman is fit enough to start or we could be in trouble.

Lowe seems confident Hughes will be available, and Keane should be back in the squad.

My guess, but not the team I want:

Woodman
Storey, Lindsay, Hughes
Potts, Ledson, Whiteman, Millar
Browne, Holmes
Osmajic

Injury crisis for a team that play an open game AND a local derby. You have to take it to them, there's no excuse not to.

I think you're not far off with your guess of what we will end up playing, sadly.

I’d go with @MattPNE17 and @Bobbage sides. Can’t be bothered trying to guess what Lowe will actually field

There’s an argument to play two up top with them being forced to use Pickering at CB and Travis at RB

This, but with Frokjaer instead of Whiteman
Woodman
Storey, Lindsay, Hughes/Best
Potts, Ledson, Browne, Millar
Holmes, Frokjaer
Osmajic

Attack. Attack. Attack.

Woodman
Storey, Lindsay, Hughes
Potts, Browne, Whiteman, Frokjaer, Millar
Keane, Osmajic

I realise that looks harsh on Holmes and to some extent also Best but Holmes' pace and maybe also Evans' disruptive effect might be most effective later on. I would not be dismayed to see Best on the left of a back three and if we played a back four I would prefer him to Hughes who I am not certain now has the agility to play that role though he can be superb on the left of a back three. As I've also made clear I wouldn't be dismayed either to see Best at left wing-back.

Perfect game to give Ched 60 minutes.
That was my thought process. Go one up top and Hill can follow Osmaijic around all game and stop us targeting Pickering. Play Ched and Hill won’t know which to mark

Besides the defensive issues Wovers also have a striker crisis, but it seems to have worked for the better for them, they seem to play with a completely fluid midfield with the threat coming from many areas… odd but effective.

Szmodic is without doubt their major threat, he’s the championship’s leading scorer, he’s a dangerous opponent. But he’s also playing with an injury problem, he had to take painkillers during the second half against Norwich, doesn’t seem to have affected his performances unfortunately.

I think they are extremely reliant on him, he makes them tick.

Nailed on Ledson starts isn't it which would ruin my weekend before kick off.

Unless he injures him like he did with Brittain last time out.

I'd rather have Browne in where Ledson is but is it going to be too much of a battle for Frokjaer?

Started in every away game so far.

The box is the formation of choice on the road.

You don't need a computer to spot that pattern.

This. I'm not really his biggest fan but Ched to come on late on to rough them up a bit!

Woodman

I feckin hate the box set up….I’ve said before if your playing with 3 central defenders you don’t need two sitting midfielders.
It's crap, you would hope it's scrapped after 3 successive away defeats.

We had 2 sitting (well, deep) on Saturday. It just helped that one of them was actually mobile. And indeed Browne was the best player on the pitch in doing so.

Same as started on Saturday aside from maybe Hughes in for Best if fit of course. Let's get some consistency in our patterns of play.
