The Lonners' Appeal

Kind of forgot about this, but did anyone see the video at half time on the blackpool game.

To be honest, I thought that the picture was poor and the sound quality was awful so I thought Id re raise the issue on here as ive never seen it.

All the details, and the video played at H/T, are on the offish site here.

I think regardless of your thoughts of him as a keeper, hes a nice guy, and everyone can probably understand the cause and be very sympathetic to it.

There are links for information about the condition and links to give money if you so wish, through the offish website and at sponsorjen.com and im sure both he and his missus will be very thankful for anyone who takes the time to support the cause in any way they can.

I mentioned on another thread that I had received a thank you letter and 5 signed photo cards of Andy. It was in response to my giving a few quid to their worthy cause. Their letter made my day and was very unexpected because it is not like I gave much - just gave all I could afford. I wish Millie well and hope that some day she is able to recover. Meantime she is in good hands with parents that love and care for her.

I will be sharing those signed cards with PNE friends of mine.

God Bless you Millie, my prayers are with you and your parents!

I'm glad this has been brought up. His sister (my close friend), gets very upset about the issue of her niece and this condition. i think that they deserve our support, and that many would be willing to help them if possible.
Lets hope that many people can support the cause.

Lonergans Wife & Kid where sat by, second row right next to the tunnel. Saw the video and they were pointing, I kind of got the jist that their kid had some wrong from the video as it was all about her, although you couldn't really tell anything looking at her.
Didn't realize it was Lonergan speaking though, just watched the video again now.

Great cause & might try and get involved with some money raising!

OK, Jaymo, I know I am on your ignore list but well done for that. It has made me decide to contribute.

My Nephew suffers from PKU, hes 10 and is living a normalish life. As long as the Diet is controlled they'll be fine. In the first year or 2 it is worrying, coz ur back and forth to the Hospital in Manchester. You have to watch them very carefully when they young as the wrong sweet, crisp or drink etc and its A&E etc. But when they older they know how important it is and my nephew is more knowledgable on it than all of us now. But I would like to thank Andy and Jennifer for all the work they have done and raising awareness of the Condition. It does get people worried coz it is so very rare and on the increase, Hopefully more Hospitals will make services available soon.

Goodluck in the Run Jennifer and once again thanks.

And thanks to all those that have donated.

If anyone wants to know more about it or help in other ways see here :- http://www.nspku.org/

i personally suffer from PKU and i can tell you for a fact its hard work at times but as long as you control it its fine and you can lead a normal life.

times are hard when your young and want to go and have a mcdonalds with the rest of your mates but all you can have is chips. but now im older its alot easier to handle as it cant do much damage as your body has now matured.

so just remember andy it will get easier and good luck to you all.
