I've got upset, once, on here Mossypne, in all the time I've been a poster and sorry to disappoint but this is not the occasion. This is actually quite laughable.

Believe me you're not God because he is kind and forgiving. A trait I've never seen of you on here.
 
Eva...I `ve checked the archives for you. And us. As you are making some pretty strong accusations here, lets just put the basic facts down.




You started a thread saying*************** ..which was a very silly thing to do.

You reported it at 12-45 pm, asking for it to be deleted, as you had had `a couple of nice emails`.

You posted on the thread at 1.02 pm.....this...`I've asked the mods to delete this thread, whether they will or not, is obviously their choice. I don't wish and wouldn't wish to upset anyone. I won't be adding to it and would kindly request that nobody else adds to this thread and it can die a death. Thanks in advance.

A few minutes later, the thread was closed. Note that you seem to be asking for it to be closed AFTER your first report..and that you leave the decision to the Mods.

Who acted very quickly indeed.


Mixed up in all this, you also apparently sent PMs to most of the mods with other information...which no-one here at the moment seems to have received.


After all this, we spend considerable time on a Saturday discussing it with you, and checking details.

Bad Modding? Control freaks? Hmmm.

Whatever.

You shouldn't be a mod. I cannot believe you've actually quoted something from the thread when you know someone is upset by it. Don't you get it, it offended someone, not me and you go and do this? Really laughable. What a joke you really are. Don't go deleting it because it just proves what you are...you don't give a monkey's about anyone else. That to me shouts control freak, you'll do and say what you want.

If the report button is pressed the mods are meant to discuss...this obviously, according to Ronald, did not happen, because I did press the report button ..is that not bad modding or is that good modding? Mmmmm let me think...bad modding, although that's your reference to modding not mine. I never once said it was bad modding. Someone saw the report or a pm because the thread got closed, but not deleted but it wasn't discussed as we're led to believe is what should happen within the mods little room.

We need to know that if we press the report button then the thread/post is going to be discussed...or does it mean it will sometimes only be discussed?

I think someone is being a control freak here, and it`s not the mods.

( I have however gone back and deleted any reference to the post you made...on the off chance anyone new will be offended by knowing the content of your ill advised thread.)

It would now look like you've got your knickers in a twist for nothing, Bardas's post proves you seem to have made half of this stuff up.

If you didn't want the extra work you shouldn't have become a mod and all it would have taken, instead of all this time you've given to discussing this NOW, would have been to have discussed it in the mods room, impartially, and then just clicked a mouse a couple of times and deleted it. The mods, who did discuss, chose not to do that so don't go whinging about the extra time given to discussing this. Had one had the decency to pm their reasons I wouldn't have even put anything in this thread...I'd have been quite happy.

Yes it would be nice, from the mods, for not doing their job correctly in the first place. But we'll never get that.

No knickers in a twist WIBG...had odds on you joining in with this one. How old are you? That's something you hear coming out of the mouths of children.

Will leave you all to discuss or not discuss from hereon in...would be good if you could kindly keep to the points though instead of throwing flippant remarks in...how childish.

Most of the mods do a brilliant impartial job on here...some, on the otherhand, don't, they are not impartial, have their favourites and don't do a decent job, simple as.

Your original post sticking up for Gary Glitter was naive, your posts on this thread are something else entirely.

Funny thing is, I`ve defended the Mods on this thread because I could see you were telling lies and getting hysterical about nothing but your own embarassment, and it`s a thread about moderation...but as it happens, I took no part in the discussion or decision in the first place.

Have a nice life, and keep away from men in shiny suits.

Can I just point you, that's if you can see it from your high horse that's stood on top of the moral high ground, to your very first post on this subject...

I'd like to know why they can't delete a thread when kindly requested to do so but yet can delete a thread that people don't want deleting at the drop of a hat? I see them as control freaks! Maybe I should get a few of us off here to go on the thread, call each other alsorts of names under the sun and write something defamatory or slanderous against Shaw or the club and it may get deleted, because obviously, kindly requesting that a thread that's been started, by myself be deleted (I'm not asking about one being deleted which was started by someone else) does not work.

Sticking very carefully to the facts and mod issues....

The poster reported her own thread, and asked for deletion in case it upset anyone.

A few minutes later, she posted on her own thread asking for it to be closed, or maybe deleted, at the mods discretion.

A number of mods then discussed it, and after reading her last post, decided to close it, rather than delete, as it had a number of replies and it`s unfair to delete other people`s posts unless necessary. They were all aware of the post asking for closure, rather than deletion,as the link on the report would send them straight there.

The thread was then closed...all this happened within less than half an hour.

Other mods, myself included, saw their action and agreed with it as it was so straightforward and obvious.

Then, on this thread, the poster uses this as an example of Mods being control freaks and ignoring her and being slow to respond. Despite the actually very fast response, she is also unhappy it was not discussed for longer and by more mods. She also claims to have been ignored by many mods online she claims to have PM`d at the time. This was simply not true...I for one was online, a contributor to the thread, and was not contacted.

She then gets more and more abusive as we try to discuss it with her, and defend against her aggressive and innaccurate comments, and changes her demands constantly, eventually saying she didn`t even care whether it was deleted or not.

You need to have a look at the rules love, I think the Mods have done the best they can, and have actually being very understanding with regards to your 'little paddy'.

Just to refresh your memory, here is one rule I think you should take particular note of, especially the bit I have highlighted in red for you,

5. 'Mod Bashing': Constructive criticism is of course welcome and crucial to the development of the website in the right place ('Forum Feedback and Help' and the 'Beta Team' forums), and can go unpunished - especially if you use the report function too.

However, posts/threads that criticise the Moderation/running of the site that are in the wrong place, without using the report function, irrelevant to the thread or unnecesarily offensive will be punished with 1 infraction point.

Alas you did, however I was in Bristol at the time and it was archived by the time I got home as the matter had been dealt with, so please accept my unreserved apology for not having a 24 hours a day presence on the forum.

From now on may I suggest that you don't make offensive posts? This would stop you making a tool of yourself like this. You were embarrassed about what you posted so you asked for the thread to be closed and then when it was, you decided that you hadn't caused yourself enough embarrassment. Just to make sure everyone knew about your paedophile sympathies, you thought you'd do a bit of mod bashing in this thread.

I'm not expecting a reply though, since despite your 10 posts in this thread, you keep telling us you don't care.

I'm 47 years of age and not going to start lying now...and I'm not in the least bit hysterical. You obviously are a bad judge of character if that is what you are reading into my posts on here. Look back at the thousands of posts I've put on here and I can name two threads in all of them where I've had heated debates, you may get hysterical I don't. They were the Pope one and one re a friend of mine who was being got at for being overweight.

My original thread was not naive...If it hadn't offended anyone I would have carried on discussing it but as I already said, I didn't want to offend anyone so wanted the thread deleted. Obviously the mods were not bothered about offending anyone because they wouldn't delete it, simple as. No ifs or buts...no delete because they opted for it to stay and whoever was offended was not even given a minutes thought or consideration. That Bardas speaks volumes to me of what the mods are like behind the scenes on here and nothing you or anyone else on here now will make me think any different. Infact from what I have read on here this morning, and only read the above one post of yours this evening, has actually made me stronger in my personal beliefs of what the mods are like. Just like you've made a perception of me, which I know is wrong, because everything you've said about me is lies... I could have done the same with you lot but it's how I've perceived yous on this thread.

P.S. Just to let you know, incase you're getting me wrong at this moment in time, because let's face it you have been doing...I'm chilling, typing, watching X factor results in delay, looking up buying a handbag and matching shoes and am in no way hysterical.

I accept your apology. I didn't think I would offend anyone, do you think I would have put it on had I known I would? Again if you think I would you have got me all wrong. As soon as I got a pm off someone saying it offended them I reported the post/thread and asked for it to be deleted. The fact you weren't there shouldn't have made a difference. But as you're being a bit funny with me, can I ask that you find out what has gone on before you reply to a thread about reporting a post when I actually did it the right way.

I have no sympathies whatsoever towards paedophiles, in that you are actually out of order and defammation of character. I always said I did not condone what was done and asked "could it have been a set up".

Talk about putting words in peoples' mouths.

No I wasn't going to reply anymore on here but why should some people get away with trying to put a slur on my character?

The strange thing is, you're completely right about me.

I am a twat, I don't really care who I upset and I like a good argument. I am biased and I don't really add to any debates unless I'm taking the piss out of someone and I also abuse my Mod powers to annoy people, fuck even I wouldn't vote for me.

But at least I know and can admit to my bad points, unlike you.

This is sticking up for myself WIBG not mod bashing. If they're that sensitive then they shouldn't be mods. I've read 100 times worse addresses to the mods on here than what I have said today...I've only comeback when they've had a go at me.

I did it the correct way, the fact not one mod got back to me, when I first reported the thread, is not my fault, or is it in your eyes? Probably is.
