I think Carroll has a role to play now with a League One loan in January if he's struggling for game time. His willingness to get forward and take on players gives us an extra option if we're chasing games.

Too many players ahead of him, he'd be wasting his time sat here on the bench. That said, no chance a league one team takes him yet either.

If he's lucky, maybe a league 2 team would give him first team games though.
