He appears to have completely regressed since we signed him. He looks pretty good on the opening day but ever since he’s looked slow both in and out of possession and without a great deal of technical ability.

It must be hard when you’re out of the team and coming on for dribs and drabs but a bit like Mads he plays as if he’s used to walking football as opposed to the cut and thrust of the championship.

Don’t forget about Bowler who most of us have forgotten about. I was expecting Greenwood to be the worst of the bunch but he has been decent enough. KKH head and shoulders above everyone in the transfer window.

He’s been rubbish. I’ve not seen anything that others have suggested. I can’t tell what he’s supposed to be good at. We lose control of every game he plays in.

Got time to learn the league though. He’s been here 3 months and it’s a huge step up. Its taken all 3 of our foreign successes more than 12 months to properly adapt

The shining light before Hecky came in bit made it sound like he’d been performing well for a long time. Under Lowe and then Marsh you didn’t need to do a right lot to look like a top performer.

Yeah, I think that's exactly what we do. It means we don't need scouts or scouting, just agent videos, MRKT's app and Peter to filter by price and/or unusual name.

Thordarson in particular seems the latest defensive midfielder signed for the stockpile. We seem to collect them because they're cheap, then we can just play them in any position that's spare.

It's way to early to call him shi'ite but he is definitely not oven ready and is yet another work in progress.
TBF he has shown some good touches and there has been a semblance of a footballer with some technical ability, shown.
However, in the Championship that's just a start. You have to work as hard as every other Player and then any extra ability shows through.

Its a given in the Championship by and large that all the Players give effort, otherwise they drop down the Divisions.
It seems to me that at the moment if he is going to play its as a starter to be taken off later.
What he is not giving when coming on as a Sub is the impetus of fresh legs and injecting energy into the Team. He's ambling around as if he's already played 65-70 minutes!!
Coming from a slower pace of Football he needs to adjust to the pace and intensity and definitely put a bit more snap into his play, it's lightweight at the moment.

So this season we have signed 2 overseas players in Thor and Okkels but they need probably a season to adjust and even then it’s 50/50 if they are good enough…add that to the lack of defensive cover then our squad is paper thin and it’s amazing wot Hecky has managed to get out of the team so far….when we lost Browne we should have replaced him with a proven championship player or even a decent league 1 prospect…would be deifferent if we had a bigger squad but we don’t.

Yep, its harsh to overly criticise Players who given there previous status & levels will need time to adjust to Championship Football. They may or may not ultimately prove good enough.
It's the strategy that should be questioned.
Where they bought to be 'work in progress' or where they bought to be oven ready.
If the former, the fee paid for Okkels seem to have been excessive, if the latter then they obviously aren't!!
