I'd like that he's quite good

Defiantly worth a punt on a free, was supposed to be the next big thing at Crewe, seems to have lost his confidence at Utd but on a free it would be a good accusation given some of his ex under 21 team mates are currently here anyway, potentially could replacing gally in a few years as hes not getting any younger.

I wouldn't touch Powell with a ten foot Pole. He has developed an appalling attitude since joining Utd. Was returned back from loan early by a Championship team because of his behaviour, I'm sure he was also convicted of drink driving or reckless driving.

He is a bad apple and goes against the grain of what our squad is.

I'm not sure how good a player he is now either. It's a long time since he's played well for anyone - his career seems pretty stagnant. No need for us to take a chance on someone like him when we already look pretty good in central midfield.

I'd tend to agree with this. In addition to the drink-driving in 2014, he got sent back by Leicester due to "lack of commitment to training" - is that really the kind of player we want or need? What a message to send out to your fellow professionals.

Seeing as Wigan are so well off - he was on around £10k a week at United I believe, that will have become the norm for him now - and is one of two places where this lad actually managed to play quite well - the other being Crewe in L2 - I can see him going back there. I couldn't really care less as long as it isn't Preston.

Left wing is a priority position to strengthen according to the evening post.

We are also looking to strengthen the right wing too with Isgrove still a possibility.

Is/was there any interest in Taylor form Bristol Rovers? He's OOC isn't he, and (I don't know how much truth there is in this but) apparently aiming for the Championship with Villa interested.
