Good list...can see a lot of the loan players going tbh ...depends if we can get some money for them maybe Maxwell but most will be frees or go out of contract. Bit light on the striker department so can see AN trying to go for proven championship striker (!) if Nmecha doesn't come back. Also might need another experienced Centre Back too given Storey/Davies inexperience but looks like a nucleus of about 28 players if all loans go

Keep the highlighted players, sell, loan, pay up and out of contract the others.

Defense and keepers sorted, get rid of midfielders who cannot put a shift in and tackle, Maguire is just not up to it, injuries and now a lack of pace, Robinson will probably be off, need to see Bodin and Barky fit and Stockley needs to shed a few pounds. I wonder how much AN will be allowed to spend, please no more "Irish potential"

Tom and Mikey are listed and for me will be released.

Not listed is Jack Armer,,,,

Also Ethan Walker will have 'some form of a contract' as we played him at 1st team level and there is some rule about playing youth team and clubs being able to 'snatch them' if they arent on more than a scholarship.

It's more likely to be a released list which will contain:

Tommy Spurr
Andy Boyle
Marnick Vermijl
Tom Stead
Ben Pringle

I'd also expect an extension of the O'Connor loan to cover the entire Irish league at some point.

Then it's if anyone under contract beyond this summer has been told they can leave or if they want to leave.

Those who could fall into that category:

Clarke, Maxwell, Hudson.

Not sure on the young lads, Simpson, Howard, Baxter.

The other one of intrigue is Rudd.

I can see us needing a replacement for Barky who I cant see staying if he didnt sign the deal already.....

A fast attacker who can defend ???? that Alexander Arnold kid seems ok - maybe we could loan him.

Yes. I guess there's a difference between "we're happy for you to leave for free if you can find a club" and "we're happy for you to leave if someone wants to buy you" which Maxwell fits into.
 
@Tino , you missed out Burke.

Another awful signing with 2 years left on his contract. Most likely to take the Ben Pringle route of loan after loan after loan imo.
 
The club haven’t listed anyone as transfer listed or allowed to leave publicly since Westley was in charge.

I’d expect to see the usual out of contract and loans expired list.

Pretty clear to everyone though which players still under contract will be surplus to requirements.

He wasn’t getting a game at Charlton and they have no money anyway.
 
Players 50-53 to leave; also Maxwell; O'Connor to remain on loan; 5 grads are in the list who may be loaned (incl. Armer).

For me that leaves 26 senior players. Some may be loaned again. Is 23 still the target working squad size or is that one of the issues that was discussed with the owner last month ?

Robinson and Barkhuizen may yet extend their contracts. The manager wants them. He has also talked about the roles for Pearson and Browne next season.

What's not clear is the condition of players who are returning from the long-term injuries. I can see the squad remaining larger than 23 until Jan 2020.

The only trim I would make now (before knowing incomings) is Johnson, that being because it's not in the manager's control whether the player delivers a performance rating of 7/8 or 4/5. You need greater certainty than that. It seems to be in the player's head.
 
Boyle, Pringle, Vermijl, Howard, Stead, Spurr confirmed as gone.

All other loanees return except there's no mention of O'Connor so suspect that will continue to cover the Irish season.

Jack Armer offered a pro deal, all other 2nd year scholars leave.

Official from the club. No surprises there really.
 
I can't see many new arrivals myself

We had several come in the January window and have some long term injured coming back for next season, so for me we will see if theses really come on, or are now playing in a League above their abilities

Nobody really in the ones 'Let go. Who were regular squad members this season? So why any rush to replace them
I reckon at the most one or two from the 'freebie list' perhaps, if Neil really fancy’s them
Otherwise same again, I think we will be seeing how it goes around next January and dependent on the league position then
 
Am happy for Boyle, Pringle, Vermijl, Howard, Stead, and Spurr to go. Shame about Pringle, though; I expected more. He will do well in league 1. This will save on the wages bill. With this saving, plus what’s left of the Hugill and Cunningham money, surely we can get someone decent that will bring some more flair, danger and excitement to the squad.
