Shouldn’t that be O’Bafemi?Would rather go for someone like Obafemi at Southampton (yes he is Irish). Scored a few goals for them last season against Man. United and Chelsea and fits well into counter attack system but hardly got a look in so far this year even with Ings injured.
Hasenhuttl will certainly send him out in January judging by these comments:

'The problem with Michael was always he would play one good game and then fall back a little bit'
BOSS Ralph Hasenhuttl says striker Michael Obafemi "makes it too easy for others to go above him" as he battles to win back his spot in…www.dailyecho.co.uk
Probably end up somewhere like Reading even though they have a good set of strikers. Spent 8m on Puscas and he can't get near the team currently.
Kienan Davis probably more realistic as Villa will probably sign another striker in January. Injured again currently though.

Hopefully he'll knuckle down with a loan move. It wasn't that long ago club were getting likes of Mavidivi and Nmecha off very good prem clubs so I don't see it as some unrealistic possibility unless Hemmings is setting some odd forfeit for AN to try to finish top half in championship while selling off half of the regular first 11 in one transfer window and barely getting any decent replacements in.
Hull tried that trick last January and it didn't work out that well for them in the long run.

Can't see us looking at strikers. Anyone coming in will be replacing a body that leaves, realistically.

I'd love us to get rid of all the shite it won't happen but it'd be a great step forward

Impending salary cap in L1/L2 will prevent this from happening too until the summer when some leave on a free.I'd love us to get rid of all the shite it won't happen but it'd be a great step forward
Replace what we lose, simple as that for me.

BLADES WANT DAVIES
Sheffield United are interested in signing Preston defender Ben Davies.
Manager Chris Wilder wants to add a new left-sided centre-back in the January transfer window and has been keen on Davies since the summer.
The need for a new centre-back has since been increased following a serious knee injury to Jack O’Connell, who could miss the rest of the season.
And the 25-year-old Davies, one of a limited pool of left-footed centre-halves, is about to enter the final six months of his deal at Deepdale.
Championship promotion-chasers Bournemouth were in talks to sign Davies in the summer but could not agree a deal.
Davies came through Preston’s academy and has made 135 appearances for the first-team, scoring twice.

Teams like Sheff U are why you can still get fees at this point- they're pretty desperate in seeking signings to help them survive.
The Sheffield Star were reporting last week that they want to loan him. I don’t see any point in him going to a Premier League club who are very likely to become a Championship club next season.Taken from sky sport website via the Transfer center section.

A loan doesn't make sense, sounds like lazy journalism. We either need him here or to get a fee- there's zero benefit to loaning him out.The Sheffield Star were reporting last week that they want to loan him. Can see sheff u liking bens
Unless Sheff Utd are happy paying a million to loan him for 6 months instead of committing to a long contract, then sign him permanently in the summer if he suits their team. Hemmings would probably take the million and its absolutely nothing for a Prem club.A loan doesn't make sense, sounds like lazy journalism. Hemmings recoups a little bit of cash, Sheff Utd sign a decent player, we're fucked. It sounds plausible to me.

I mean we have to accept a bid, regardless. Why would we accept a pittance? If we wanted to sell him, we would and could have done it in Summer.

Haha crossed wires there ... Taylor Harwood-Bellis.I can see pne loaning that city lad who's a CB. Jacob Mellis I think he's called
Close enough 😂Haha crossed wires there ... Taylor Harwood-Bellis.
Not sure about that. He's a very good player and should definitely be playing at a higher level than the LOI.
Saying that we did sign the league's best players in Burke and O'Connor and we know how that went.
He's consistently in the national team however
Id say Maguire is the only one we've had from Eire who's been hyped to the level of Bryne. And that was certainly justified in those first few months before the injury.
He's technically levels above that league. As mentioned previously with the league one/two signings my concern would be with him as an athlete. But its his position is as a Gallagher type midfielder with cutting passes, decent shot and loving the ball - his lack of pace isn't as much an issue.
Him failing at other teams here doesn't matter to me as a bit of a shot to nothing if he's free. He's at an age now where if he doesn't get his head down he will never make the big money, so we could get him at just the right time. It might make us appeal more than Forest as well, where he will be less likely to get a chance generally but especially with us potentially losing 4 CMs in the summer
Nugent and Gallagher are two players who we have wasted money this season both sadly way past their best although Huntington has been a good servant for me it’s another player on the fringes of the squad who we will be paying his wages to mostly be sat on the bench if at all . Games in the championship come thick and fast and we can’t afford to have a player who if needed cant play twice or three times in a week . For me we need players who will make a case to stay in the first team when given a chance not a backup. We need strength in depth I’m sorry but we lack that and with a squad now of 25 maximum we cannot carry stop gap players .
