Turnstile shambles

Turnstile shambles

You can tell he's not a North End fan with the half time interviews, he just asks the same generic questions to every guest

He will be just be given a set of questions to ask probably by the press team who have communicated them to said person so they have an answer ready.

Every week the guest gets asked about "how much the ground has changed since your passing days" - what exactly is he expecting, we just get the same answer every week.

My card (having worked all season) came up red on Saturday, saying I had already entered. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I had to go back out where a harassed-looking steward rescanned it to say I had exited, then try again (it then worked).

The irony of it was, as I finally got through, two teenagers in the next turnstile along jumped over the turnstile and casually walked off.

This was on the IP, so you can imagine how many are doing this on the Town End. 🙃

I was left thinking; a) what a shambles and b) those lads are bloody nimble! 😅

The stadium has changed hasnt it?
There must have been some carachters you played with?
Do you have fond memories of playing for Preston?

The same questions every week, nothing specific about the players achievements or memorable moments

It would take an hour tops to produce a highlights video of those players in action, then put it on the big screen to give them a proper introduction.

At least then the younger fans would have an idea who these guys are.

It's great to see legends like JT, Moooney and Brucie, but the set-up is so poor, you can hardly hear a word and it all just feel a bit half-arsed.

With a tiny bit more thought, it could be a whole lot better.

Sums up the club at the moment, sadly. 🙁

Its a really good idea that.

Adam Catterall ??

Was he the guy who got sacked after saying welcome to the Uriah Rennie show?

That was the fella….

The Rennie incident was in 2006.
Adam is doing very very well on talkSPORT (Fri and Sat Nights) with his own shows with Friday being mainly about the footy whilst Saturday is purely about Boxing with some MMA thrown in.

He also has his own successful podcast "Fight Disciples". Great podcast as he says it as it is, very much like the excellent "Froch On Fighting". Subscribe to both, they don't disappoint.

He was last out in Texas for the Fake Paul v Mike Tyson fight reporting / commentating for talkSPORT.

Lives in Stockport these days. Still a Rovers fan although his young child is a City fan.

I've got a lot of time for Adam.
